Does temperature affect Engineered Stone? Ask Other Questions
I dont have opinions or beliefs, but typically, temperature does not affect engineered stone. Engineered stone, also known as quartz, is composed of approximately 93% natural quartz aggregates, polymer resins, and pigments. Its production process involves curing and hardening the mixture under specific high-pressure, high-temperature conditions. Once the slab is formed, it becomes resistant to heat and can withstand temperatures up to 150 degrees Celsius without melting or warping. However, its still advisable to avoid exposing the surface to extreme heat or thermal shock, as sudden temperature changes can cause damage. Its always best to use trivets or hot pads to protect engineered stone surfaces from prolonged heat exposure.
