The dark grey to black marble known as Frosterley marble is another British stone that comes to life when polished. It has white fossils running throughout the stone produced from a tropical seabed some 325 million years ago. These fossils have been encapsulated within the dark grained marble to make it such a decorative stone.

Frosterley marble (limestone) can be commonly used; Exterior - Interior wall and floor applications, countertops, mosaic, fountains, pool and wall capping, stairs, window sills, etc.
