Taconite is a variety of iron formation, an iron-bearing (> 15% iron) sedimentary rock, in which the iron minerals are interlayered with quartz, chert, or carbonate quarried in MN, United States. This stone is especially good for Countertops, monuments, mosaic, exterior - interior wall and floor applications, fountains, pool and wall capping, stairs, window sills and other design projects. It also called Taconite Iron Ore,Taconite Stone,Taconite Granite,Taconite Brown Calcarenite . Taconite Calcarenite can be processed into Polished, Sawn Cut, Sanded, Rockfaced, Sandblasted, Tumbled and so on.

Do you have enough material for a 25" x 96" countertop? We need material with reds in it, not green. Thanks

Hi, I'm interested in purchasing some of this for a kitchen countertop. I'm in Vermont. Are there any suppliers close to Vermont or at least in the United States? Price per square foot?
