The marble is named after Monte Cevedale (3,769 meters a.s.l.), a prominent mountain in the Ortles Group (Ortlergruppe) in the Italian Alps, which is where this stone is quarried.

Veining: The veins are composed of bluish to gray-bluish tones, which are formed by inclusions of tourmaline and graphite. These veins are fine and elegant, giving the stone a distinctive aesthetic appeal.
