Stone quarrying hydro bags are widely used in natural stone (marble, granite, basalt) quarrying to separate blocks from large masses in quarries. Hydro bags allow blocks of 1000 tons or more to be scrapped without the need to prepare slots to house jacks. The original thickness of the water bag is only 2 mm (0.08"), it can easily slip into a wire saw cut. Quarry Hydro bags, also known as Water Bags, are expanding hydraulic cushions composed of two high tensile steel plates. The water bags expand under the pressure of pumped water at 30-40 bar, allowing a maximum expansion of 25-30 cm (approximately 1') and a thrust of up to 1000 tons. The Hydro-bag is environmentally friendly as only running water (not oil as in hydraulic jacks) is the dilatation fluid. It is safe, even if the hydro-bag's cushion blows due to excessive inflation pressure there is no deflagration because water, not air, is the inflating media. The Hydro-bag does not require any maintenance, throw it away when it is no longer usable. The thrust that can be obtained for a pillow can be up to 1000 tons. Combine two or more pads to achieve higher performance; side by side or together in packs. The quarry hydraulic rock splitter consists of splitting cylinders and a power unit. Cylinders are powered by the high pressure power unit. Fuel tank piston and wedges are the main component of the cylinder. It needs a pre-drill hole of required depth down on the material for movement of the middle wedge. There is a valve on the top of cylinder to control piston work, when the power unit give pressure make the piston work, piston will pressure middle wedge move into bottom, and at the same time, middle wedge will push counter wedges move to sides, a huge horizontal splitting force is produced against to the hole wall, when the tension increases beyond the tensile strength of the material, a split will occur.

Filling is only permitted outdoors. (When filling with liquid carbon dioxide, the pressure should be increased to no less than 1.3 MPa.)
