Machinery Function Features:
A deep material drying before the resin application is fundamental.
The process requires about 20-40 minutes to dry interior moisture according to the type of material and the set temperature.
Drying and pre-heating oven must have a dual action: dry moisture from the slabs and then heat them up to the suitable temperature for resining (40÷45°C).
Resinline plants use two types of ovens for the material drying and pre-heating:
. Tunnel of Wind, exclusive tunnel system.
. Drying Towers, multilevel ovens.
They both include the warm air recirculation.
The longitudinal tunnel drying system is composed of an insulated gallery with insulating panels, where the slabs enter from one side and exit from the opposite side.
The tunnel length is determined according to the quantity of slabs to be processed.
The warm air flows opposite to the material direction, heats the slab so that the moisture is first moved away and then totally dried during its passage into a heating exchanger, properly placed outside the tunnel.
The supports with the slabs move along the tunnel through a horizontal chain handling system, while two elevators placed at both ends transfer them upstairs.
The heating unit can be powered electrically, by methane or by LPG.

Machinery Function Features:
Cyclic ovens are used both for the drying and the catalysis of slabs or strips/tiles. The particularity of this typology of ovens lies in the fact that the material that enters the oven supported by a tray, goes up, translates and goes down inside the oven itself. Such solution allows to store a great quantity of material inside an oven with a moderate height as the one of the building that houses the whole plant. Storing ovens can be supplied in versions with 2, 4 or more series of levels, according to the time the material needs to stay inside the oven.

Machinery Function Features:
The ovens model PILOT represent the most classical typology of slab ovens, used both for the drying of the material and for the catalysis of the resin. The lifting and inserting system, commonly called lift, gets the tray from the roller conveyor before the oven, then it lifts it up to a free level and deposits it inside the oven, leaving it in storage for the necessary time. Once the drying or catalysis phase is completed, the tray is removed and the slab continues its process. Level ovens allow temperature adjustment and can be supplied with a single or double chamber, to perform the drying and catalysis phases in just one oven.

THE DRYING OF SLABS BEFORE RESIN-TREATING
Different techniques for the slab drying were tested (static hot-air drying with air dehumidification, hot-air passage, irradiation passage, static radio-frequency, etc.) and their advantages and disadvantages in terms of output and operating costs were crosschecked.
Breton suggests the most suitable drying techniques according to the type of resin used, the material to be resin-treated (marble or granite) and the required production capacity.As for the static hot-air drying with air dehumidification, Breton developed special multi-decker vertical kilns ensuring a “homogeneous” drying of all the slabs housed in the kiln.
Depending on the requirements, slabs move along the automated resin-treating line while they are held up by special, rigid steel supports.Breton suggests the most suitable catalysis techniques according to the type of resin used, the material to be resin-treated (marble or granite) and the production capacity.As to the static catalysis of the resin-treated slabs, Breton developed special vertical multi-decker kilns with hot-air circulation which ensure an ideal catalysis of the slabs housed in the kiln.
The catalysis of marble slabs treated with polyester resin may also be performed in line, while they return to the loading point and move on a conveyor placed under the processing line along its longitudinal axis, with no need of kilns.
