L. Cannata & Sons, leading Marble, Granite and Enginereed Stone supplier in Cape Town, was originally established in 1910 by Liborio Cannata, an Italian ex-patriot and one of the few quarry owners and granite processing pioneers in South Africa. The company is currently being run under the leadership of director Italo Cannata - grandson of the founder Liboria Cannata.
In the last ninety years Cannata has provided its granite and marble products to both the local and international construction industry for the use in the creation of monuments, houses of worship, historical buildings, hotels, shopping malls, office blocks and the residential market.
Cannata is one of South Africa's oldest stonemasons with a clear understanding of the unique character and quality of various decorative stones – from granite, marble, engineered stone, limestone and onyx to more recently the launch of a new eco stone product called Second.Life.
After more than 100 years of business, entering into their Centenary year, Cannata proudly welcomes the fourth generation of Cannata's with Claudia, Italo Jnr and Christiano joining the company.
