Allbutt Mining Supplies is a young company which started up in 1996 by Cliff Allbutt. Cliff comes from a long family history in the mining and exploration industry. His grandfather, Rod McIsaac, started Midwest Diamond Drilling in Flin Flon, Manitoba which grew to be an international company. Cliff’s father, William Allbutt, was employed with Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting and then went on to work for Midwest Diamond Drilling Head office here in Winnipeg. Cliff started working in the Industry at the age of 15. He drilled for Midwest in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and the North West Territories. He also drilled for D.W. Coats in British Columbia and the Yukon. Now, Cliff brings in products from all corners of the world to the sell to the Canadian Market.

Bit sharpening is one of the services we offer to the mining, drilling, quarry and construction Industry. We also handle high end professional diamond products for the construction and stone industry. Our blades provide a fast and clean cut with long lasting performance. Some of our most popular blades are the Billy Boy and the Tuffy558 which are used for core cutting. Along with our blades we also sell diamond bits and polishing pads for marble and granite countertop industry.
We supply a full range of percussion button bits, along with the drills that use them. We provide replacements parts for the Secan 250, PHQ 250, Canun 260, Jackleg & Stopers drills plus PHQ Screen Pushers. We also supply quality Canadian made drill steel 7/8 Hex jackleg steel, reamer steel, auger steel along with R32, T38, T45, T51, drill steel.
