Venere Marmo Portoro, originally "La Veneta," represents the passion and heart of the people who are part of it. In fact, it was in 1966 that Mario Modesti, together with his wife Luisa, started the quarrying of this valuable marble at the "Cavetta" site.
The "Cavetta" site has a unique location, studded with breathtaking scenery, sheer cliffs and lush nature. The scenery is idyllic, and it is easy to imagine how Mario, originally from Verona, fell in love with these places and its treasures, among which , certainly, we find Portoro marble, with unique and exclusive characteristics.
Today the company continues its Portoro quarrying and processing activities thanks to the children and grandchildren who have inherited the passion and art of the great Mario and who, despite the objective difficulties of extracting a very valuable and delicate marble, carry on the founder's dream with professionalism, perseverance and love.
