    How does the vacuum manipulator work?
    The manipulator uses vacuum to hold and lift the load. The air is guided through a filter and an air pipe, to raise the lifting tube with which the manipulator is equipped. The vacuum within the lift tube is regulated from the manipulator’s control handle. This manipulator is where the suction unit is attached, which is the one that will be in contact with the material to be handled.
    When the partial vacuum increases, the lift tube shrinks and lifts the load. When the partial vacuum is reduced, the lift tube is stretched, lowering the load. The sniffer keeps the load safely gripped until it reaches the ground. In the event of power loss or a power outage, a safety valve acts in such a way that the load descends in a smooth and controlled way to the ground.

    How is the vacuum generated?
    The vacuum pump is what runs the entire system. The vacuum is generated by means of a high-performance, low-consumption vacuum motor-pump. This motor pump can be installed up to 30m away from the lifting point. A remote control can be installed to operate the pump without leaving the duty point.
    Where to install the load handler?

The machine has the classic setup of static structure with moving trolley and has an automatic system for changing the thickness between wires.     The PBO profiling machine of GRANI ROC is designed for a high precision dressing of blocks and slabbing and profiling production from stone blocks. The machine is composed of a static structure and a mobile trolley. All the movements are controlled by a 5 axes CNC panel board.
    ·The movements of the machine are controlled by a 6 axes CNC. The data can be input directly in the CNC or by an ISO code file generated by the CAD-CAM software GraniCAD supplied with the machine. This software allows to design the pieces to be profiled, to transfer the *.dxf files to the CNC, to define the parameters of cutting in each step of the cut (speed of cutting, speed of the wire, etc.) and to simulate the path of the wire during the cut.
