New Rio, a sturdy, precise and very fast waterjet cutting machine.
This numerical control waterjet with 3 interpolated axes is ideal for:

An electronic feeler senses possible differentiated thickness of the cutting piece and the focusing tube, automatically, places itself to the right distance of work-piece.
The tank for the work-piece is detached from the machine, offering a better stability and it is made in stainless steel.
The machine programming is carried out through an easy CAD/CAM software, the WJ CAM specifically developed for waterjet machines.
A modern, innovative and workable system is used to remove waste.

The CAM for 3-axis stoneworking centres and/or lathes
Frestag is the CAM suitable for 3-axes stone-working centres and more in general for the stone industry. The non-interpolated lathe machining is supported as well.
Focusing on the user-friendly aspect, it does not need particular IT skills and can been used from all the operators indistinctly. The user interface (UI) acts as a wizard, leading the user during the processing steps and reducing the probability of making errors during the programming phase.
DRAWING AND DESIGNING
Starting with the 2D entities of Logotag it is possible to reproduce:
sinks, quarries and pockets
mouldings and handrails
shower plates and drips
columns
Depending on the piece to reproduce, the users select the entities from the X-Y plane of the drawing (TAG, DWG, DXF) to import for Frestag.
The graphic engine of Frestag is responsible for visualising the processing paths.
PROCESSES
Users can program different machining for:
3-axes profiles and contouring sections; roughing and polishing steps are available while tool sequences (e.g. 3 diamond tools + 3 polishing tools) allow the user to program the processes in few steps

Taking this into account, if a specific part is to be made independently from the CNC machine, the functioning cycles are computed so that the software can be easily interfaced to multiple stone working centres. The post-processor translates all the processes in the proper language of the CNC to use to evaluate the CNC machine capabilities (e.g. automatic tool changer, rotating table, and aggregate head).

The Dimension Slab Cutting Line is for cutting stones cut-to-size. It has a machine for cutting the sides and another for cutting the heads. It cuts the strips into dimension stones in one pass efciently.

This machine performs the longitudinal cuts of marble or granite slabs into strips with predetermined length by means of diamond discs. It is equipped with a variable number of discs and with different automation levels and powers according to the production needs.
M744 is available also in the version for marble and granite strips with 2, 3 or 4 discs.
Pedrini M744 trimming machines perform the longitudinal continuous cutting of marble or granite strips and slabs to produce elements with defined width.
All Pedrini M744 trimming machines are available in several versions and with different automation levels.
On demand, M744 machines can be manufactured in special versions to cut semi-finished products having different sizes compared to the standard.
Trimming machines M744LV are normally used for the trimming of up to 650 mm wide strips of marble and granite.
Whether used individually or included in a production line, M744LV can be equipped with a different number of discs to enable different processing:
. with 2 discs it allows to trim strips to get the final width;
. with 3 discs it allows to trim and get two strips from a single strip;
. with 4 discs it allows to trim and get three strips from a single strip.
Trimming machines M744LD, M744MD and M744KD are particularly suitable for high production cutting lines for marble and granite slabs.
Trimming machines for slabs can be equipped with a different number of disc holder heads according to the minimum processed sizes (5, 6, 7 or 8) and to the slabs width.
As option, the first disc holder head can be mounted in an opposite position to the others so to recover undersized elements from the remaining waste.
A special double-coated rubber belt moves the slab to the machine entry.
Special guides keep the conveyor belt straight movement ensuring the cuts linearity.
The disc holder heads are directly selected from the control panel. The heads which are not used are excluded by means of a pneumatic system without removing the disc.
After the execution of the cuts, on request, a special waste crushing unit is mounted at the machine exit allowing to cut the waste into small pieces facilitating its fall on the removal conveyor belt.

Semi-automatic multi-disc cross cutting machine for the crosswise cutting of trimmed marble and granite strips into finished elements. It is mainly used for finishing lines where a high forwarding speed is not required.
The distance between the discs is adjusted by means of a motorized system and a clamping group stabilizes strips during cutting. Special retainers permit to obtain the tile size even with the disc positioned on outfeed side.

WATER JET CUTTING MACHINE WITH ONE OR TWO TANKS AND 3 OR 5 AXIS

Double table and rotating arm (which are both optional) enable to zero downtime for piece loading and unloading (patent pending). This system enables to load the pieces to be machined on one tank in complete safety, while the machine cuts the pieces from the slab on the other tank.

ACCESSORIES

1 Automatic system to evacuate sludge, which is sucked by a centrifugal pump and filtered by a hydro cyclone. A piping system with special nozzles (installed on the bottom of the tank) keeps the sludge in suspension.

2 Head with 5 interpolated axes for inclined cutting, which is required, for instance, to cut the 45° grooves. “C” axis with continuous rotation and “A” axis with inclination of ± 69°. Provided with ITC function for the continuous automatic compensation of the jet tapering. In order to get grooves with precise dimensions, the head is provided with an instrument for automatic slab thickness measurement.
