The machine allows to produce strips from blocks of granite. Its supporting structure is made of electro-welded normalized steel to guarantee the vibrations absorption. The main beam is made of electro-welded normalized steel, stiffened to tolerate high pressure load. The structures are painted with a special anticorrosive treatment and are grinded for the perfect alignment of the movement parts. The trolley translation on beam is through lateral containment wheels in oil bath with low coefficient of friction. The remaining movement parts are on grinded precision guides. All the movement parts are operated by PLC and graphic terminal installed on the panel. The disc fall on the columns is through self-bearing screws device. The machine is supplied with the horizontal disc fixed on the trolley carrying discs. The switch board is made of sheet steel, thickness 15/10 mm, painted with RAL 7032 paint, IP55 protection level, equipped with double programme of cut. The supplying unit is composed by a magnetothermic switch with shutter locking to avoid the opening of the switch board with tension.

The block cutting machine LT 1204 with four columns is built for the processing of marble blocks from which one can obtain strips in various sizes and thicknesses for the production of marble tiles for floors and walls, steps, jambs and other products for the building industry.
The machine is composed by four carrying columns made solid by four steel cross beams.

BENCH AND UNDERBENCH GROUP
bench entirely made in seasoned cast-iron, reinforced and accurately worked. Its dimensions complete with side brackets are 3,50 x 2,00 mts. To the bench are applied the prismatic and flat
wheels which support heavy loads. The wheels slide on special steel guides accurately worked and with very high resistence. The bench is complete with attachment fot the hydraulic cylinder
and the stroke-end stpos.
COLUMNS AND BRIDGE GROUP
Two columns entirely made in cast-iron, are connected at the upper side by a beam and from a very stout frame. The motor which controls the vertical bridge movement is placed on the
beam. The bridge, in cast-iron, is connected to the columns by means of prismatic and rectified guides and is provided with register gibs. Two independent slides are applied on the bridge: the first holds the spindle group of the horizontal disk, the second holds the spindle for the the vertical disks. The automatisms for the slide control are placed on the ends of the bridge.All
the slides are motorized, run on prismatic guides and are equipped with register gibs. All the working motions are supplied with suitable end-strokes which protect the machine from eventual operation mistakes.
SPINDLE GROUP
The two spindles are independent and can be moved both singulary for the manual adjustment and contemporaneusly during cutting operation. The motor of the diamond disks are placed in the spindle groups, 150 HP motorwith 6 poles for the vertical disks and 30 HP motor for the horizontal disk.
HYDRAULIC PLANT FOR BENCH TRASLATION
It is made up of a complete hydraulic central unit with 5,5 HP motor. The plant allow the bench movement at an adjustable speed up to a max of 9 mts./minute ahead and max 17 mts./minute
return.
ELECTRIC PLANT
The electrical plant is complete with all the necessary equipment for the control and the protection of each single motor.
Operation procedure:
After having equipped the machine with suitable vertical and horizontal disks; the various processing data are preset on the control board - that is with of the massive or thin strips and
height. Start the bench wich takes the block to the cutting area and adjust the cutting speed depending on the type of material to be sawn. When cutting is finished the bench stops and the operator unloads the peace sawn. If the machine is provided with automatic unloader, after the operator calls the unloader to the loading position, the bench goes back to the initial position and unloads the piece sawn. “GP 800” is avery stout and stable machine which gives stripes with extremely low dimensional tolerances that facilitate the subsequent operations to be done (such as grinding and polishing).

4 columns block cutter for cutting granite, lava stone and marble blocks into strips by means of a set of vertical diamond discs and a horizontal disc. It works on stationary block.
M585 is available in several versions according to the vertical discs maximum diameter (from 1300 to 1700 mm) and to the maximum number of vertical discs (34 or 56 discs). It can be equipped with automatic or semi-automatic unloaders.
This 4 columns machine cuts stationary block and produces 460/650 max. wide strips with thickness dimension from 10 mm for modulgranito up to 80 mm for paving stones.
The machine can work even without block carrier trolleys since all movements are performed by its operational units.
M585 machine maintains in time top cutting precision with minimum diamond discs consumption and very reduced costs for production maintenance and depreciation.
The four holding columns, with their large foot bases strongly fixed to the foundation, are stiffened at the top ends through sturdy connecting beams and side ribs.
Four sliders, that move along the columns, support the transversal beams/bridge assembly. All such components, that were made in normalized large thickness steel work, form an extremely rigid structure.
The discs holder trolley, driven by a gear motor/pinion/rack system, slides along two “V” guides in oil bath with the interposition of anti friction slides.
In addition to this, four contrast wheels compact trolley and bridge to realize a “ clearance- free”trolley sliding system.
The discs stack, that is positioned on the trolley/bridge assembly centreline, favours the whole discs holder trolley mass to integrate in a balanced way the contrast wheels action.
Oleodynamic plungers lock automatically the two mobile uprights to the transversal beams during the vertical cutting phase.
Owing to this peculiar construction technology, M585 reduces to zero the discs traction action on the trolley, eliminates vibrations and realizes high quality cuts combined with very reduced diamond consumption.
The cutting parameters are pre set through the key board. Work cycles are controlled through PLC, positions and parameters are visualized in real time on display.
All motion motors are controlled through vectorial inverters and the movements precision is ensured though position digital transducers(encoder).
The inverter for main motor speed control and adjustment, particularly recommended for the optimal discs utilization, is available as optional.
The large dimension remote electric panels are air-conditioned by means of a heath exchanger and are dust proof and water proof in compliance with I P 54 ( EN 60529) standards.

FEATURES

Disc-carrying trolley sliding on broad cross-section cast iron prismatic slide blocks in oil bath protected by special guards. Movement is performed by means of a rack and pinion with slanting teeth and corresponding inverter -driven gearmotor.
Ø 210 mm disc shaft, for the simultaneous use of 50/75 1000 mm diameter discs.
To guarantee a long service life and maximum resistance to corrosion, all the surfaces have been sand-blasted, galvanised and carefully painted with dual component epoxy paints.
On request, the machine can be supplied in a version performing the simultaneous cut of two blocks.

This AUTOMATIC CYCLE machine, that was designed for the sawing of 1000 max. high blocks, is targeted to the production of large thickness slabs for tombstone art, building elements and paving stones.
The axis positioning is ensured by a PLC controlled system that comprises electronic vector regulators (inverters) and position digital transducers (encoders).
Disc down feed can be programmed during last phase of each cutting stroke thus permitting stroke immediate reciprocation and consequent “PENDULAR” motion that eliminates unproductive time.

Bridge sliding along track ways is guided through two pairs of bearing wheels, with large centreline distance (1200 mm), that ensure bridge stability.
A system of auxiliary contrast wheels reacts to all vertical stress and allows for a very smooth disc performance。
