The water wall dust extractor has a double dust suction system. Outside there is a waterfall layer, generated to capture the heavier dust in suspension; inside there is another nozzle reduction system, needed for the complete dust removal of the suctioned air. Our suction cabin is designed for high performance and less maintenance. It is made of prime AISI 304 stainless steel. The MB water wall follows the guidelines of HSE Health and Safety Executive.
The operation and use of the MODULBOX MB system requires the operator to work in the front of the module, between the water layer and the linear vacuum opening. The dust produced is vacuumed by the fans through the opening located between the tank and the water layer. At first, part of the dust is reduced by the outer water layer while the rest is stopped by a water atomization system located inside the machine. The module also has a droplet separator that isolates the water atomization system from the suction unit, not allowing the water or dust to be discharged in the air. The purified air comes out from the top of the machine, allowing recirculation in the location. The water flow on the outer layer can be regulated using the gate valves while the flow of the inner water atomization system, for dust reduction, remains constant. It is also possible to access the machine for cleaning and routine maintenance of parts subject to saturation and inevitable wear. An additional fixed or mobile box of various dimensions with a frame in AISI 304 stainless steel and plexiglass panels can be applied to the front allowing the user to work even in areas subject to excessive turbulence. Whenever the laboratory ceiling is not higher than six metres, our anti-turbulence disperser called the PLENUM is recommended.

This machine is designed for cutting marble blocks into strips by means of a series of one to five vertical discs and one horizontal disc.
Machine specifications:
The machine is composed of two vertical columns joined by a very sturdy support beam so as to ensure the stability of the structure.
The movement of the bridge up and down the columns is by means of two carriages with bronze sliders which run along two ground and rectified channels. These channels are made in the columns and are covered by a special wear-resistant tempered steel belt which guarantees the machine’s accuracy over time.
The main bridge which runs along the columns is made up of a special steel beam with a very thick closed section which houses special roller runners. These work in an oil bath and have airtight seals. Cutting accuracy is guaranteed thanks to the way in which the runners are connected to the columns.
Both cutting and the movement of the block carriage are programmed and controlled by a PLC which ensures maximum accuracy throughout the machine run.
The block carriage is a sturdy steel structure which moves on special double steel wheels assembled on roller bearings.
The wheels are flat/prismatic for their accurate movement under the machine along flat/prismatic rails and bars for their movement outside the cutting area.
The carriage is powered by a self-braking motor with a gear reduction unit which caters for the micrometric movements in the cutting area and other movements for the loading and unloading of the blocks.
The accuracy of the carriage movements is guaranteed by a special encoder which is an integral part of the rails and is connected to the mobile carriage by means of a steel cable. The dimensions of the block carriage are 330 cm (length of the block) by 230 cm (width of the block).

Helios Five is an extremely precise 5-axis machining center and bridge saw (6 axis with the lathe), with automatic tool change and magazine, that can be extended according to specific needs. The possible configurations make the machine suitable for the execution of important works, from roughing to finishing, with highly detailed results. The precision of the Helios Five allows to achieve the greatest part of the stone processes possible, such as small and large sculptures and statues, kitchen tops with profiling and edge polishing, drain boards and much more. This feature makes Helios Five unique in its category.
As a bridge saw, the machine can work with disks with diameters of up to 725 mm. Thanks to its imposing structure and the technology developed by Helios. Helios Five can process all types of cut with extreme precision (45° angled cuts, shaped cuts, arches cuts angled on both sides etc…)
Helios Five can have the Z stroke of 680, 1000 or 1200 mm and can be equipped with the interpolated lathe, thus increasing the executable machining in the stone sector.
Stainless steel structure: Thanks to the stainless steel structure, Helios Five is a sturdy machine, that preserves its quality over the time;
Precision and reliability: The use of recirculating ball screws and zero backlash gears makes the machine’s movements extremely precise, thus producing highly detailed works;
High frequency inverter: Thanks to the use of high frequency inverter, that provides only the necessary power for the mechanical efficiency, there are no wastes of energy, and the maximum energy saving is guaranteed;
Security doors: The security doors have got a manual sliding system with automatic machine stopping sensor in case of opening;
Laser marker: The device shows in advance the passage of the disk, indicating the correct position of the cut;
Aluminium rectified table: The aluminium rectified table guarantees the integrity of the table and a total resistance to the processes stress and to corrosion. The
calibration, performed directly by the machining center, ensures the perfect flatness of the support surface. The rectified table and the separated slats offer the
possibility to set the pieces easily;
Tilting table: The tilting table, with the Easy-load solution, ensures the loading of any type of slab with the minimal effort;
Automatic tool change and tools magazine: Helios Five with automatic tool change manages all the machining center functions. The magazine, containing several tools ensures the maximum versatility in the tools choice. Its capacity can be modified according to specific needs.

Bridge:
The bridge is made up of a seasoned cast iron monoblock beam. The control panel and all the electrical and electronic equipments are jointed to the bridge which has refaced bearing wheels and slides on hardened steel interchangeable bars housed in cast iron bodies giving the maximum stability to all the assembly. The bridge traverse on the guides takes place with gears on high precision racks. Everything is protected against water splash by proper gaurds fixed to the bridge. The displacement can be checked through a visual system with metric / inch rule and on the display of the electronic programmer.
Bridge control unit:
The traverse of the bridge is carried out automatically by means of a self braking speed variating gearmotor or manually by means of a handwheel on side of the control board. During the cutting operation, the bridge is kept in position by a double electromagnetic locking device.
Carriage:
The accurately machined cast iron carriage determines the cutting speed. It slides with prismatic sliding blocks in oil bath on interchangeable slide tracks housed inside the bridge. The carriage control group allows progressive speed variation and high power transmissions by means of a special device, maintaining always a smooth a vibrationless movement. Inside the carriage, there is the cast iron vertical slide which allows the automatic rise and descent of the spindle by means of a gearmotor, screw and bronze lead nut. The slide moves on refaced and adjustable bronze screw nuts and is controlled by the equipment for the incremental step cuts.
Spindle:
"DIGITAL" version:
For vertical and inclined cuts from 0° to 90° in a single cut, the spindle is fixed to the vertical slide and rotates manually by means of a handwheel. A special two-speed 24 HP direct motor provided with special protection is fixed to the tilting group. the tilting group and the slide attachment plate are cast iron made and the rotation takes place by means of a special helicoidal gear and worm screw controlled by a handwheel.
"UNIVERSAL" version:
The spindle, for vertical and inclined cuts from 0° to 90° both ia a single cut and several incremental cuts, rotates by means of a handwheel and runs on a slide and a counterslide both of cast iron applied to the tilting group. The movement of the counterslide on the slide takes place by means of a speed reducer, screw and nut screw supported by a proper thrust bearing on adjustable guides. A two-speed 24 HP motor with special protection is fixed to the counterslide.
The "DIGITAL" machine is supplied in its standard version with no. 1 cast-iron worktable, manually rotating and lockable at 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°.
On request, the following worktables can be supplied:
a - Cast-iron manually rotating worktable, lockable om each of the 360° by suitable disc brake.
b - Manually rotating worktable complete of hydraulic tiltic platform for the vertical loading of the slabs. It can be locked at each of the 360° by hydraulic caliper brake and is supplied with wood supporting frame for slabs.
Worktables type "STANDARD" and "A" can be also supplied on request sliding on rails.
The "Universal" machine is supplied in its standard version with no. 1 cast-iron worktable, manually rotating, lockable at 0°, 45°, 90° and 135° and liftable by hydraulic cylinder.
The worktable is realized in cast-iron and the rotation is secured by suitable double crown of balls of large diameter to allow max stability.
On request, the following worktables can be supplied:
c - Cast-iron manually rotating worktable, liftable by hydraulic cylinder and lockable on each of the 360° by hydraulic caliper brake.
d - Manually rotating worktable liftable by hydraulic cylinder and complete of hydraulic tilting platform for the vertical loading of the slabs. It can be locked at each of the 360° by hydraulic caliper brake and is supplied with wood supporting frame for slabs. Centralized control panel:
It comprehends the control of the electronic and electric equipments. On this panel there is the electronic programmer which gives the following possibilities:
- automatic marble cycle
- automatic granite cycle
- possibility to set several cutting measures in the quantity required (max. 99 possibilities)
- possibility to store the inertial displacement and the disc thickness. Electric panel:
Comprehends the equipment for the carrying out, control and safety of the various working operations.
Only the connection between the power line and the electric panel of the machine have to be done by the customer.
Water plant:
It comprehends all the pipeline, from a fixed connection point up to the fork. Cutting possibilities of the various version:
DIGITAL: on marble it is possible to carry out up to 220 mm. deep cuts with Ø 725 mm. disc. On granite it is possible to carry out inclined cuts in one step up to a depth of 35 mm. with Ø 500 mm. disc and several vertical step-cuts up to a maximum depth of 180 mm. with Ø 625 mm. disc.
UNIVERSAL:on marble it is possible to carry out up to 220 mm. deep cuts with Ø 725 mm. disc. On granite it is possible to have several vertical step-cuts to the maximum depth of 220 mm. with Ø 725 mm. disc and inclined cuts of 45° in several step-cuts up to a maximum depth of110 mm. with Ø 625 mm. disc.
The cutting possibilities listed above can be obtained by means of suitable equipments which have to be definied in the stage of ordering the machine.

It is suitable for program profiling, roughing of blocks and to create complex shapes, such as; cylindrical columns and conical shells for covering the columns, templates for furniture, stairs and frames.
OPERATION
Erotag allows the user to freely assign the machining cycles and the order of items to be processed.
The 2 or 4 synchronized axes is useful for cylindrical or constant conical machining while the 4 or more independent axes contouring allows variable conical machining in which profiles on the two planes of interpolation (typically XY and UV) have different shapes.
Possible options, such as slowing down, can be assigned automatically or manually as well as linear unloading, circular unloading, pausing on edge work, work regimes and synchronization points. The start and stop points on the profile are independent on the two planes of interpolation.
Erotag is part of the CAD Logotag that allows users to generate the machining profiles in the simplest and quickest way, without using third-party drawing programs.
