These plants are equipped with functions for the rotation of the cutting head to perform horizontal, vertical and inclined cutting operations, and also offer the lateral head shift along inner bars, for the execution of parallel vertical cuts in the quarry without moving the plant from its position.
The machines for granite cutting are equipped with inverter necessary to adjust the wire linear speed according to the type of granite to be cut.

Diamond wire running system by electric motor
The electronic system of feed control is extremely accurate and complete, thanking to the combined action of two motors:
• 2 HP motor for the quick positioning of the machine on the rail.
• 0.5 Hp motor with automatic reduction gear for fine regulations.
The feeding on the rail is performed on a double central self-cleaning rack with double gear wheel. This system allows the machine to work even in slope position, preventing the risk of sliding. The " S 1000" is featured by a special "electro-hydraulic" system for flywheel positioning. The rotation and a lateral movement of 40 cm per side are hydraulic, with solenoid valve control. A further lateral movement is possible by electric motor and endless screw. This system allows to perform ground level cuts and two parallel cuts, maximum width 2.0 mt. without moving the machine.

The LGR 1 machine was build for execution of little diamond wire cutting on marble, stones, etc., but also in order to solve problems in building and artistic processing. The effectiveness of LGR 1 machine is confirmed by the extreme ease of working and the processing and cutting speed of the diamond wire. Thanks to this system the operations can be carried out without dust, noise and vibration, being able to perform cutting of any thickness, size and slant on stones like squaring or preparatory bevelled cut of monuments, but also on reinforced concrete, like demolition of base, walls, pillars, stairs, bridges and roads.
The possibility of disassembling the machine into three parts as well as its lightness make the transport easy into small yards and those which are difficult to access. Thanks to its characteristics LGR 1 machine allows to execute operations with diamond wire with the best conditions; in fact it can also carry out several cutting edges with different sloping degrees thanks to a total rotation (360°) of the engine flywheel unit and thanks to the manual slide which allows to obtain a perfect alignment between the machine flywheel and the cutting edge.
The electronic control system allows the best use of the machine and of the diamond tool according to the characteristics of cutting. Lochtmans’ diamond wire cutting machines are equipped with accident prevention system in order to avoid risks for workers who operate or work near the machine, because the breaking of diamond wire can create projection of circuit elements (matchboards, spacers, springs or parts of cable) and the consequent whip action of the cable.
LGR 1 machine is equipped with a very practical and functional protection system. Thanks to the protection racket and to a simple movement, it can be possible to set the fillet protection device in any positions of the flywheel engine. The protection device is extensible and it can reach all the open path of diamond wire, also when the machine is in motion. While the machine is moving the screen belt lets off covering the area where the diamond wire goes open, being an effective element of protection.

1. Built with high quality components, the vip 916 is robust and reliable diamond wire saw. It can perform cuts of very large surfaces in any type of stone: marble, limestone, granite and sandstone.
The VIP 916 is equipped with the following options of main electric motor: 37 kW (50 hp), 45 kW (60hp), 55 kW (75 hp) and 75 kW (100 hp).
The start can be either via a star/triangle system or via inverter. The inverter allows to vary and to adjust the diamond wire speed from 0 to 40 m/sec.
The VIP 916, with only one positioning operation, allows to make two parallel cuts with spacing of 1.75 m or 2 m.
The VIP 916 is equipped with a hydraulic unit controlling both the rotation and the lateral movement of the head.
The head rotation is via robust center plate and a hydraulic motor.
The lateral head movement is via two chrome plating supporting stems and one hydraulic cylinder.
The VIP 916 travel movement on the rails is by means of a pinion / rack system. There are two available different options of travel system: the first, called “TC”, consists of a central hung rack fixed on the rails. The second one, called “TI”, features two side racks, carved on the track bars.
Both systems can be supplied with automatic travel speed control either via D.C. motor and electronic card, or via asynchronous motor controlled by inverter.
The VIP 916 power board is installed inside the machine.
If provided, the inverter, equipped with a special ventilation system, is mounted inside the frame case, hence well protected against dust and moisture.
The machine is equipped with a portable, compact and a waterproof control panel, for all the controls and adjustments during the cut.
The double-inverter version, one for the main motor and one for the travel movement on the rails, is equipped with PLC.
This version comes with a portable control panel either electromechanical or touch-screen.
The version with touch-screen and related software allows to interface with the operator, with automatic storage and processing of all the data related to cuts, which are essential for an accurate management of the cutting operation. A remote panel without cable, controlling all the positioning and operational functions of the machine, can be supplied as an option.
