MULTIBRETON TDR is an automatic cross-cut saw for marble or granite strips, equipped with up to twelve cutting spindles.
For each cutting cycle, the machine can saw a single strip or two strips simultaneously - even of different length - into items of the desired size.
THE SAWING CYCLE
The work cycle is completely automated, without the intervention of the operator:
1. The strip to be sawn advances on the roller conveyor.
2.The aligner/pusher aligns the strip and pushes it on the machine’s feeding belt towards the cutting
blades. The belt moves the strip under the blades thus allowing the cut to be performed.
3. The unloader pushes the tiles so obtained on the unloading belt.
THE CUTTING SPINDLES
The cast-iron spindle units slide along the bridge on guides in an oil bath, perfectly protected from water.
The spindle positioning is automated, motorized by a screw with lead nuts connected to an electromagnetic clutch and adjusted sequentially for each single spindle unit.Once each spindle has reached the programmed position, it is blocked by a hydraulic mechanism. A pneumatic device can exclude each spindle unit vertically.
On request, the machine can be supplied in a special version with simultaneous positioning of all the spindles instead of sequential adjustment of each single spindle.

Thanks to CEMAR’s over twenty years experience in surface treatment of marble and granite, GMM present the most advanced version of LMS 2100 belt polishing machine for marble slabs. Respecting the philosophy that has always characterized the excellent CEMAR product, the new series of polishing machines for marble slabs is made using robust, accurate and reliable mechanics. FEATURES
BASE
In sturdy electro-welded steel structure with rectified sliding plane covered with replaceable wear plates made of 3 mm thick special steel to ensure flatness and easy maintenance over time.
SURFACE TREATMENTS
All components are treated in our company with sandblasting by hand, cold galvanizing and painting with two component epoxy primer. On request, base and shoulders can be hot dip galvanized.
BELT
Pulled by two drums of large diameter. Speed adjustable by inverter. Two unique systems for cleaning and lubricating the belt to ensure flow smoothly.
BEAM
For spindle housing in a sturdy and rigid structure of welded steel. Sliding on the shoulders equipped with roller bearing in oil bath, protected by telescopic guards in stainless steel. Sliding elements made of hardened steel interchangeable and mounted both on the shoulders and on the bridge. The spindles are housed at the center of the beam to ensure complete stability and to avoid any possible vibration.
TRANSLATION OF THE BRIDGE
With rack and pinion. Starting from the version with 12 spindles, the transmission takes place with 2 gearmotors coupled at the bridge ends. Travel speed controlled by inverter.
POLISHERS SPINDLES
In cast iron, with thick chrome-plated steel grounded shaft, sliding on bronze bushes, complete with pneumatic cylinder for raising the abrasives carrying plates. Each spindle is equipped with a gauge for the control of pressure and counterpressure, necessary to balance the head during the working. The cooling water passes inside the shaft for a better and uniform distribution on the materials being processed.
MOTORS
11 kW/15 HP motors, with individual or in sequence start-up. Motion transmission with high performance belts.
ELECTRONICS: “THINKING HEART” OF THE LMS 2100
- Reliable. After careful controls, components are selected among leading companies in specific sectors (mainly Siemens or Schneider-Telemcanique).
- To make minimum the probability of failure or interference, on board of the machine is adopted modern network system "can open" which drastically reduces the number of cables between one section and the other.
- Software. Developed entirely in GMM, guaranteed over time, especially improved and customized according to customer requirements.
- Inverters. The roller conveyors and specific rollers in the entry are handled by inverters, like all the other moving parts, to balance the fl ow of material and optimize the speed of each step.
- Optical detector 120 photocells, to scan in a sequence the shape of entering slabs, done in RS485 protocol (noise free), it transmits the shape of the slab to the control unit to better manage the ascent and descent of the heads, according to the various selectable working cycles.
- Ultrasonic sensor, positioned at the entrance, to detect the material thickness. Enables fully automatic management of the abrasives consumption of each single head.
- Automatic lubrication management, for planning the quantity of lubricant to be dispensed and the dispensing times.
- Touch Screen 12". Monitor with "easy to use" interface, interactive graphics for the complete management of the machine cycle with sequential startup spindle motors, belt and bridge motors. It drives the spindles up-down stroke according to the shape of slabs. Display of abrasive consumption status for each head.
- Data base. Large possibility to store various information about the work done or in progress.

The ideal cutting line to achieve a high production capacity when plunge-cutting granite and marble slabs. This line consists of two cutting machines positioned in sequence, our Multibreton AC longitudinal saw and our Multibreton AD crosscutting saw, which simultaneously cut different slabs guaranteeing a high production capacity.
Depending on the size of the slab to cut and production requirements, it is possible to vary the number of cutting spindles fitted on both cutters. The cutting line production cycle can be programmed and completely automatic. The machines are equipped with control panels provided with colour “touch-screen” monitors and technologically advanced software featuring a fast and intuitive operator-machine interface. Upon request this cutting line can be supplied with a software option for optimising cutting operations.
MULTI-BLADE LONGITUDINAL SAW
The Multibreton AC cuts the slab which travels on the conveyor belt mounted on side guides, whereas the cutting spindles rigidly locked to the beam remain in a fixed position. This cutting system ensures an almost perfect parallelism of the single cuts, a machining necessity when cutting rightangled workpieces.
CROSS-CUTTING SAW
The Multibreton AD cuts the slab as the spindle holding beam advances at a right-angle to the conveyor belt. The beam travels at a perfect right angle on guides enclosed in an oil bath and protected by a labyrinth seal casing. Beam motion is controlled by a variable speed motor and two ball screw assemblies coupled to ball nuts mounted to the two supporting frames of the beam.
A shaft coupled to the angle reduction units ensures the ball screw assemblies are synchronised. A mobile aligner for squaring up the strips before cutting is installed at the front end of the machine opposite the spindle-holding beam.
The aligner travels on roller bearings and is driven by pneumatic cylinders and two rack-pinion couplings which ensure synchronised movement. This system guarantees an almost perfect geometry of rightangled workpieces.
The cutting units are technically and mechanically advanced and rigidly fixed to purposely designed slides which ensure accurate and precise vertical and transverse travel.
• a pneumatic actuator provides vertical travel and also allows the operator to exclude single spindle units
• the transverse travel allows for positioning each single spindle unit along the beam. The spindle units travel on ballguides in an oil bath protected by a labyrinth seal casing.
When each single spindle unit reaches its programmed position the slide is rigidly locked to the beam by hydraulic clamps. The spindle units are positioned in sequence along the beam, one after the other.
The longitudinal saw, Multibreton AC, mounts a conveyor belt which moves on side guides for cutting operations, whereas for cross-cutting the spindle units on the Multibreton AD are mounted on a moving beam.
The multi-belt conveyors which travel on the milled steel surface of the workbench have a thick rubber coating designed to be subjected to abrasions caused by the diamond disks when cutting. The diamond disks are enclosed in special noise absorbing protective casings which also ensure ideal tool ,coolant feeding.

Machinery Function Features:
This machine, equipped with a sucker plate, was designed for strips automatic loading on line. The strips in vertical position on the pallet, are picked up and deposited in horizontal position onto a motorized roller bench. M301, set in accordance with the processed material type, can perform on marble, travertine, granite, limestone, sand stone, slate and similar stones. Operational elements sturdiness and top quality components assure M301 cycle rapidity, easy use, reliability and long lasting maintenance-free operations.
This machine, equipped with a sucker plate, was designed for strips automatic loading online. The strips in vertical position on the pallet, are picked up and deposited in horizontal position onto a motorized roller bench. M301, set in accordance with the processed material type, can perform on marble, travertine, granite, limestone, sand stone, slate and similar stones. Operational elements sturdiness and top quality components assure M301 cycle rapidity, easy use, reliability and long lastin maintenance-free operations. The PLC controlled automatic cycle is easily programmed through self-learning.
Vertical and horizontal strokes are driven through inverter controlled gear-motors, equipped with encoder, that ensure extremely smooth and precise movements and enable fragile material processing. Automatic loader works as well as in case of wet strips since it can be equipped with the strips separator that pushes away the strip eventually attached to the one being processed. Sucker plate 90° degree rotation and the strips separatorare actuated through pneumatic systems.
M301 can be used as unloader that picks up strips in horizontal position onto a motorized roller bench and deposit them on pallet in the vertical position. The automatic loader is also made in the M312 version equipped with rotating platform, that allows for empty pallet replacement with no line stop, and in the versions àthat allow loader positioning in front or aside the line. The machine is also manufactured in the version with two sucker plates that is used as strips overturner in lines that process resin reinforced or embellished materials.
The large size electric panel is water and dust proof incompliance with IP 54 standards. The control panel withkey board for programming the work parameters isembodied into the electric panel. All components have undergone structural inspectionthrough the FEM (Finite Element Method), their precisionensures machine geometry and easy and correct in locoassembly. The entire machine surface is protected with two layersof epoxy paint applied after the sand blasting operation.

The gauging/levelling machine M644CV makes use of Pedrini patented exclusive technology to remove up to 3.600.000 mm3 per minute of tiles surface layer, causing no tiles break.
As examples, M644CV performs 0.8 mm deep thickness gauging/levelling operation at the speed of 7.5 mt min on 600x600mm tiles and 11 mt/min on 400x400mm
At machine entry ,the unit D.G.S. ( Deep Grooving System) removes 85% of tiles surface layer with the use at deferred time of two diamond discs sets ,that dig parallel grooves ,very close each other ,at levelling depth .
The remaining 15% ,represented by very thin ridges ,is removed through a number of Aquila heads ,equipped with diamond satellite tools , that generate a finish degree that can be attached by semi fine grit abrasives in the next polishing phase .
