Top Drive is a product by Taglio specifically dedicated to helping marble company in the production of kitchen and bath countertops. With one Click is possible to generate all the information needed to drive all the CN Machine involved in production process.
At the same time it is a fantastic and very fast tool to produce accurate quotation for the end user. The printable documents contain detailed information on cost elements, measures of the work pieces, 3D rendering also using true slabs.
If used together with the other software of the Taglio Marble Suite, Top Drive permits to reach very high levels of integration and productive environment.
DESIGN
Top Drive provide the geometric “configuration” of the kitchen and bath countertops in a fast and automatic way.
Each new “Project” starts from the layout definition of the countertop. In few simple steps it adds all the components and attributes to reach the completion of the Design.
Very complex projects can be done within minutes.
At the end of the Project, it’s all ready for the following phase without any more managements.
MAKE OFFER
The first step, sure the most urgent, is the generation of the estimate of costs. This must be detailed and accurate.
The calculation of the offer is immediate. It use a flexible and customizable price list, which can manage all the cost elements.
Top Drive produces complete reports and printable documents with layout and 3D rendering.
The special module “Lastra” permits a very accurate 3D rendering, using the true images repository from the company slabs store.
PRODUCTION
With one “Single Click” the project can proceed to the production environment.

Logotag is the 2D CAD of Taglio developed to make the creation, import, and management of the drawings easy.
It is equipped with specific functions for the marble and mechanical industries and allows the user to get all the info necessary to the Taglio CAM systems to interact with the CNC machines quickly and easily.
2D DRAWING
he user has access to all the features of 2D design and can import files in to the most common formats (DXF, DWG, AI, EPS).
Logotag is able to convert all kinds of entities and composition of the drawings (blocks, lists, spline, polyline) whatever the level of complexity is.
The drawings typically contain imperfections such as overlapping lines, discontinuities and small entities that can be easily deleted by automatic strategies and make-up.
The make-up also allows the user to group segments in to individual entities and convert segments in to arcs within user-defined tolerances.
Macro and fixed shapes are available to simplify the drawing. The standard library includes over 50 parametric figures and can be easily extended by the users through a special scripting language.
The hatching library includes all common materials, but it can be customized with new user-definable patterns and it can be used as a tool to submit additional information to the CAM application or directly to the post processor (e.g. images rastering).
RENDERING
Logotag recognizes image files in most common formats (JPG, BMP, TIF, PNG, GIF) and allows you to insert the bitmap in to the working document, managing the position and dimensions to facilitate the design of complex geometries and tracings.
You can also import Windows true type fonts (TTF) to create individual writing or more complex texts
PROCESS
Logotag natively includes a module to program, in a few clicks, simple water jet machines with up to 3 axes. Users can take advantage of the matrix positioning, the strategies of lead-in / lead-out and eventual links (bridges) to set up a cutting plane.
The addition of the post-processor allows the application to communicate with the large majority of pantograph machines on the market.

With the VIVa 220 Montresor presents a new completely automatic machine for mitering: a double 45° cut to obtain two polished slab pieces to be glued together at 90°.
The patented V-groove unit consists of 2+2 opposing blades working at 45°. The blades cut the slab leaving 0,2-0,8 mm of uncut material on the polished side of the slab.

The machine features:
2 slab conveyors with manually adjusted width for processing slabs of different sizes. Alongside each conveyor there is a guide to keep the slab aligned
4 drilling units, 2 on each side of the machine, which can travel along the whole length of the machine
2 cutting units for the pocket placed above two drilling units on each side of the machine
2 cutting units for slot/kerf placed above two drilling units on each side of the machine
2 mechanical stops to hold the slab in position during processing.
Work cycle
Processing occurs when the slab is not moving. The two conveyors move the slab to the mechanical stops. Before reaching them, speed is reduced to allow for smooth, precise positioning.
Then, drilling and pocket cutting are performed, or slots and kerfs are made. Once processing is over, the slab is moved backwards, the two mechanical stops retract, and the conveyors bring the slab to the discharge point.
A new slab is placed on the conveyors, and cycle is started again.

Handling
Spindle handilng along the whole length of the machine and of the two carts is operated along precision guides by means of recirculating ball slide guides.
Motion is operated by precision rolled screws with recirculating ball bushes and precision gearboxes. The four spindles and the two carts are operated by brushless motors coupled with precision gearboxes and driven by electronic drivers which are in turn CNC-operated.
Precision in positioning
Precision in positioning is lower than +/- 0.2 mm.
Output
Depending on the material used (marble, tender or hard granite) the typical hole with 6-8 mm diameter and 25-30 mm depth is completed in 20-30 seconds. The distance between two slabs is about 20 cm which entails a motion time of about 20 seconds. Therefore, 4 holes are completed in 40-50 seconds, with an output of 290-360 holes per hour. The average repositioning time is about 5 seconds.
Lubrication
Lubrication of moving parts is centralized and automated. An automated lubrication cycle for periods when the machine is not used is also available.
Positioning system
It is automated thanks to an industrial computer. The operator must set slab width, hole position with reference to the mechanical stops, make requests for holes with or without pocket, and the automatic system will provide the necessary motions for the drilling heads and the carts.
Once the machine is positioned, the automated work cycle is started.
The height of the drilling spindles is adjusted by using a motor-reducer operated by two buttons on the spindle columns.
4 holes on each side of the slab can be made, along with two pockets on one side, as well as slots, prolonged slots, and kerfs.
The computer features also the following utilities:
Generation of drilling programs, storing of the programs by code (brand), list of and changes to the programs (on the machine) sorted by order
Generation of drilling programs, storing of the programs by code (brand), list of and changes to the programs on PC so that they can be later stored in the machine by using a floppy disc, and sorted by order
Displaying of drilling programs
Displaying of machine status (diagnostics)
Automatic synchronising
Storing and displaying of drilled slabs and of the holes made as of a given date (password required) Lubrication cycles for periods when the machine is not used.
