SEIKO 1536 HEADS AT 360 DPI
Heads with recirculation of the ink at the level of the nozzle plate and 8-level grayscale printing. The size of the first drop makes the point invisible. THE ADVANTAGES OF A MOLDLESS PRESS
Thanks to a system fitted with a single belt and which does not require a mold, Superfast makes it possible to produce with a flexibility never seen before for all traditional formats. Modules starting from 60, 80 and 90 cm and with thicknesses from 3 to 30 mm can be managed with a simple and rapid operation, setting-up the parameters via software.
Superfast guarantees considerable advantages in terms of time given that the replacement of the belt occurs in just 30 minutes and advantages interms of space given that it’s no longer necessary to store molds in the warehouse. All this leads to advantages in terms of costs.
UNFIRED CUTTING AND ZERO WASTE
With Superfast, System Ceramics has exploited its innovative capacity to the full, promoting a technology that makes it possible to cut the ceramic surface after pressing and before introducing it into the kiln, with consequent recovery of the ceramic material in excess in the pressing and cutting phase.
Superfast operates with a “zero waste” process in which there are no scraps. The recovered waste is dry-ground directly at the side of the press and is then mixed and introduced directly into the atomised spreading dispenser.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL FOR CERAMIC SURFACES
Uniform laying and gradual pressing with still atomized material ensures greater uniformity throughout the surface for detail-proof flatness. The result is also an improved geometry of the fired tile and a caliber on each side of less than, or equal to, 2 mm.
Superfast is able to make a ceramic product without residual tensions, a fundamental characteristic for the subsequent malleability of the finished product.
Three-dimensional design
From an aesthetic point of view, every three-dimensional effect is achievable thanks to the possibility of laser engraving the upper belt starting from the graphic file. With the aid of high resolution and a depth of engraving of up to 3 mm and maximum geometric regularity, it’s possible to press up to four different patterns while maintaining the quality of the ceramic design and increasing aesthetic variability.
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTIVITY
Superfast makes no compromises in terms of productivity: with a single press, Superfast can produce up to 24.000 sq.m. a day, a quantity normally achieved with at least 2 traditional presses. Installed at the entrance of the tile into the digital printer, it makes it possible to identify the piece’s angle of entrance and roto-translate the graphics without using alignment guides. NEAR FUTURE: COLLABORATIVE FULL-DIGITAL
After many years, Credigit Infinity finally reassigns the design of the product to the laboratory technician, who has the possibility of personally organizing the sequence of different resolutions, head types, inks and materials. Machine for tile surface finishing.
The polisher with a swinging motion operated by two beams is used to control the transversal movement and speed of the heads in infeed and outfeed in an independent way in order to meet any kind of manufacturing requirement.
The head support beam has been designed with the use of inite element calculation programs to improve the dynamic response of the swinging motion. In the picture the red color represents the area of greatest deflection of the beam.
This prevents material from building up between the tool and the tile, thereby ensuring machining is much more efficient.
During the POLISHING stage, machining requires greater force on the ceramic material. The pressure can reach 4 bar. The LAPPING stage requires less intense machining and there is a tendency to use the head unit as a counterpressure element, which exerts less weight on the tile.
When the head is restarted, the pressure and counterpressure system is automatically disabled for about a minute, which allows the new tools to adapt to the machining process.
On each head is mounted a position gauge to continuously control the wear of the tools.
Lubrication system can be used to periodically top up with clean lubricant. Excess grease is ejected into the designated containers. Correct maintenance on the system ensures there is no water infiltration and condensation in the heads.

The machine can operate in two modes and meet a wide range of production needs:
Pre-cut + engraving: the tools equipped with discs make partial cuts on the bottom; subsequently, incipient fractures are made on these cuts by means of engraving heads.
Engraving: is carried out only by means of engraving heads so as to make incipient fractures directly onto the original surface of the material. The above operating mode can only be applied to smooth, even surfaces, free of internal tensions.
Pre-cutting and engraving head:
Powered cutting unit with electric spindles with fixture for cutting discs. At the base of each cutting head is mounted a bar with press rolls that hold in line the material during machining, absorbing the stresses transmitted by the tool.
The idle heads have the opportunity to bring two different types of engravers, one with a greater diameter for smooth or one with a smaller diameter, used for efficiently engraving even uneven surfaces.
Roller splitting:
The machine is used to split ceramic slabs along one or more incipient fractures made previously. The slab is split without stopping its forward motion along the line.

Machine used to make one or more incipient fractures on a glazed porcelain stoneware tile without being stopped, thus optimizing the output of the line.
The tools can be used to engrave only the superficial section of the tile or to make a full cut. In the first case, the aim is to prepare the product for subsequent engraving and splitting by removing the structure or the surface enamel coating that often features internal tensions that would make it difficult to obtain a controlled incipient fracture. Subsequently, a set of cushioned engraving heads, placed in line with the cutting tools can make the incipient fracture by means of idle diamond abrasive rollers.
At the inlet of the machine the tile is centered on the conveyor belt that carries it, and is held in place by a centring device equipped with side wheels. The tile then passes under one or more bridges that bear the cutting unit; they have adjustable height and are equipped with powered disc tools.
Powered cutting heads with multi-angle electric spindles with bevel gear and fixture for cutting discs. At the base of each cutting head is mounted a bar with press rolls that hold down the material during machining, absorbing the stresses transmitted by the tool.
Engraving heads
Cushioned engraving heads with quick tool replacement. The idle heads can carry two different types of engravers, one with larger diameter for smooth materials and another with smaller diameter for efficient engraving even of uneven surfaces.
High versatility
The machine is extremely flexible, and can operate in three different modes:
Cutting, operation during which the disc cutting tools are cutting through the entire depth and complete the entire process.
Pre-cut + Engraving: the tools equipped with discs make partial cuts on the bottom; subsequently, incipient fractures are made on these cuts by means of engraving heads.

THE PACKAGING PROCESS IN 4 PHASES
The dimensions of the product and the design to be printed on the package are set
According to the dimensions of the product, strips are obtained from sheets of cardboard which are first glued to create a continuous module, then creased, cut to size and printed
The strips obtained are put together to form a frame
The frame is closed with hot glue around the product
PROTECTION OF THE TILES
The tailor-made reinforced frame permits greater protection of the tiles, whether natural or rectified, especially during transportation.

AGV are automated vehicles, used for the handling of unit loads inside the factory’s production areas and warehouses.

AGV are automated vehicles, used for the handling of unit loads inside the factory’s production areas and warehouses.
They can be integrated with the loading and unloading production processes and are controlled by a wireless 'Supervisor' software that acquires information from the different production lines and communicates what operations to perform.
GUIDANCE SYSTEMS
The AGV vehicles are managed through a LASER guiding system.
This system reads the reflectors (mirrors) placed around the vehicle’s working area through a laser beam tracing its exact position.
A shaft is placed on top of each AGV with a rotating laser head that aims constantly the mirrors. Its software defines the position of the vehicle and guides it according to the path set.
To guarantee its maximum flexibility relating to the company’s logistics and for any plant upgrades, the route set can be changed through the software very quickly and easily.
