    POLISHING UNITS

    Each spindle is fitted with a pressure gauge to control pressure and counter-pressure to balance the head during the work.

    KRONOS is a 5/6 axis interpolated milling/work center machine with automatic tool change. It is available in the version with a Z axis stroke of 600 mm or with a Z axis stroke of 800 mm.
    It is one of a kind machine as it combines the typical features of a milling cutter and those of a work center/contouring machine. The Parametrix software and the wooden overbench, allow to perform cutting operations as a traditional milling cutter; the KRONOS range, compared to the traditional working centers, is the sole solution offering specific software for simple and intuitive cutting. Without the overbench, the machine can be set up as a work center to process the piece directly on the aluminum bench or as a contouring machine, fixing the piece to the bench with the suctions cups kit supplied with the machine.

    Exclusive polishing heads drive technology that reduces energy and abrasive consumption and eliminates maintenance. The polishing heads are operated through patented ROTOR direct drive spindles assembled in the centre of the mobile beam and equipped with an easy-to-use individual device for the precision centring. The direct drive, that works without transmission belts and grooved shafts, avoids radial stress on the spindle bearings, increases their life significantly whilst saving about 15% of the absorbed energy, eliminates maintenance. All spindle components have the centre of gravity on the spindle rotation axis and their considerable weight, that includes the motors and is controlled by counter-pressure, stabilizes the polishing heads action.     Machinery Function Features:

    BUTTERFLY B416 is a robot equipped with sucker plate, that was designed for feeding and unloading operation on slabs polishing lines. Processing cycles, that are programmed through PLC, can control up to 4 movement axes, sucker plate has up to 180° rotation capacity. The operational elements, that are stressed only through slabs weight traction and that move along overhead track ways, create no ground space obstruction and provide extreme stability. A safety system provides vacuum to remain effective even in case of temporary energy blackout.
    Sucker plate can rotate up to 180° thus allowing BUTTERFLY B416, whenever equipped with comb type motorized roller bench assembled onto an indexing support, to perform bookmatch processing, slabs alignment on the line and block re-composition. BUTTERFLY B416 can be made in version C/S with sucker plate double transversal stroke to perform both loading and unloading operations.

    Machinery Function Features:

Once the working cycle is concluded, the machine automatically goes back to the initial position.
