THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF COMANDULLI STORM CNC MACHINE
The main structure of the machine (bridge, shoulders, table, holding disc carriage) is made of electro-welded steel, effectively protected from the corrosion by means of a treatment cycle including sandblasting, metallization and painting; it is equipped with a 17,6 Kw (or 26,5 kW) in S6 service, electro-spindle which holds a diamond disc with maximum diameter 625 mm (750 or 850 mm); the disc is protected by a cover.
The holding disc spindle moves along the bridge (X axis) on recirculating balls linear guides lubricated with grease and effectively protected. The movement is obtained by a motoreducer with mechanism pinion/rack controlled by a brushless motor with variable speed.
The bridge (Y axis) moves onto rails by means of ball rollers immersed in oil which are suitably protected; the movement is obtained by a motoreducer with pinion/rack mechanism controlled by a brushless motor with variable speed.
The holding disc spindle has a vertical stroke (Z axis) of 430mm (option 500 and 600 mm); the movement is obtained by a motoreducer with a recirculating balls screw mechanism, sliding onto chromate guides.
The disc holding spindle is able to rotate of 455° -90°/+365° (A axis). The movement is obtained by a zero play precise motoreducer, operated by a brushless motor with variable speed.
The diamond disc automatically can tilt up to 90° for making sloping cuts.
Frequency adapter (inverter) for the disc holding spindle, it allows the use of discs in the range of 400 mm – 625 mm (750-850mm) optimising the rotation speed;
The table is tilting by means of 2 big size pneumatic pistons, and it is covered by a slab of marine wood.
The electrical cabinet is positioned on the right side of the machine structure, at the ground level.
The hanging control panel is positioned on the right side of the machine structure.
It includes the complete set of commands to run the machine in automatic or manual mode, and it has a colour touch screen technology with visualized diagnostic by means of photographs.
Numeric control module that allows to interpolate the 5 axes A. B, X, Y and Z to realise shapes and profiles from CAD CAM.
The machine is equipped with a linear laser for the alignment of the stone pieces and indication of the cut; the laser is mounted on the holding disc structure and moves in conjunction with it.
Sliding doors for the operator safety.

The SPIN 625 CNC is a 5 interpolated axis simple and compact bridge cutter, ideal for the production of kitchen tops, vanity tops, shower trays and claddings for the building industry in marble, granite and artificial stone.
It allows to perform several types of processing such as orthogonal cuts up to 200 mm thickness, oblique, circular, elliptical, inclined, togheter with milling, drilling and straight, concave, convex, arched or elliptical shapes.
The SPIN 625 CNC is equipped with invertercontrolled electro-spindle and is fitted with diamond tools, such as an end mill, excavation wheel and horizontal blade. Thanks to X and Y axes sliding system on linear guides with recirculating balls and racks with hardened and ground steel teeth both with automatic centralized grease lubrication, the SPIN 625 CNC allows to obtain finished products extremely fine and precise.
The motion is given by brushless motors coupled to high precision gearboxes.

Pedrini bridge saw M920 cuts slabs and semi-finished products of marble, granite and other natural stones by means of a diamond disc.
M920 is highly competitive and efficient, its sturdy structure and user friendliness ensure perfection and linearity of the vertical and bevel cutting performance.
Each model can be fitted with several optional accessories which allow to tailor the machine according to each customer’s needs.
The machine is programmable through a big size touchscreen colour monitor. The rotating bench is available in different models.
M920 structure is mainly composed of a bridge and a mobile disc-holder trolley. Two bridge cross beams are fixed to concrete walls. The bridge has been manufactured in large thickness honeycomb structure and machined on all the reference surfaces by one sole positioning on tool machine.
All parts have undergone structural checks following the FEM (Finite Element Method) and their precision ensures perfect machine geometry and correct assembly on site. The machine surface is protected with two layers of paint applied after the sandblasting operation.
The exclusive “V” shaped double guides which linearly and constantly drive the disc-holder trolley along the bridge are machined onto the upper part of the bridge. The two sliding side cross beams are equipped with adjustment and foundations fixing systems. The disc-holder trolley houses the disc up and down movement and, upon request, the tilting movement to 45° or 90°.
X AXIS: CUTTING AND RETURN STROKES
The disc-holder trolley moves along the bridge through a combined gear motor/pinion/rack system powered by inverter and controlled by encoder which displays the position along the stroke. Protection carters efficiently cover the oil bath guides.
Y AXIS: LEFT AND RIGHT MOVEMENT
The transversal bridge movement is driven by a Cycle Drive gear motor controlled by inverter and encoder which shows the data on the display. The two side pinions are connected by a single shaft which ensures the positioning uniformity. The oil bath tracks are protected from water and dust.
Z AXIS: UP AND DOWN MOVEMENT
The up and down movement is fixed on the disc-holder trolley structure and slides along two prismatic guides driven by a gear motor/precision screw system and it is powered by an inverter and controlled by an encoder which shows the data on the display.
A AXIS: DISC TILTING MOVEMENT
When available, the disc tilting movement inclines the whole up and down axis up to 45° allowing the tilting cuts, also step cutting, and is driven by a self-braking gear motor with inverter and encoder.

Trolley, that is driven through a rack/pinion system, slides along two hardened, ground, chrome plated large diameter rods.
The rods are fixed at different levels onto bridge distant edges to allow for a very large trolley holding base, not reasonably possible with traditional guiding systems.
Owing to this guiding system, trolley reacts effectively not only to horizontal and vertical stress but also, specifically, to transversal stress that is particularly high in case of shaped tools and “spatula“ processing.

- Cutting of repetitive rectangular pieces (such as floor tiles)
In this mode, the machine performs automatically a series of longitudinal cuts (each cut can be set at the desired distance), the table is manually rotated by 90°, then the machine proceeds with the transversal cuts (each cut can be set at the desired distance).
- Management of profiles
In this mode, it is possible to draw the desired profile directly on the machine by entering both the rough-machining and finishing parameters. In the machining stage, the position of the saw blade will be the origin the profile.

SMART-CUT 550 is a cnc bridge saw cutting centre with interpolated axes, equipped with rotating head and fixed work bench, designed to perform multiple machining operations which would otherwise require several machines, such as: cutting of slabs, shaping and dishing out of small blocks of marble, granite, sandstone, limestone and stone, engraving of inscriptions, drilling, etc. using either the diamond disc or the drills.
On request, the work bench can be equipped with a tilting top; in the S/NC 550B version, the bench is equipped with a motorized conveyor belt so as to automate the loading and unloading operations.
STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL FEATURES

- High-speed and high-precision movements along axes X, Y, Z thanks to brushless digital motors with absolute encoder.
- Spindle carriage made of cast-iron to ensure rigidity and vibration damping.
- The beam is moved by a precision rack and pinion assembly, driven by brushless digital motor.
- The spindle carriage is moved by recirculating roller runner blocks, driven by brushless digital motor that ensures the required precision and rigidity.
- The spindle is moved vertically by a ball screw/preloaded nut assembly on recirculating roller guides, driven by digital brushless motor.
- All guides are protected and greased.
- Twist head with a ± 190° rotation on axis “C” and 0° to 90° rotation on axis “A”.
- The disc inclination is motorized and can be programmed in any position between 0° and 90°, with possibility of making step-cutting (with continuous head rotation).
- User-friendly software displayed on colour touch-screen, which is mounted on the control panel; joysticks for moving the various working axes easily.

PROGRAMMING AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
- The machine is managed and programmed from a colour touch-screen installed on a practical, hanging control console, which is easy to handle and can be rotated.

OZKKM FORNAX is a 5-axis monoblock bridge saw machine that, thanks to the advanced functionality, allows every stone fabrication shop to be equipped with accurate and quick machines, without giving up quality. The standard versions of FORNAX is monoblock, i.e.: mounted on a monolithic structure of steel carpentry that assures utmost rigidity and stability levels, with no need of any concrete foundation. For this reason, if necessary, they can be easily moved elsewhere. The monoblock configuration can be exploited also for using these machines as “building“ equipment, i.e. it can be placed time by time near the factory where the coating, flooring, etc. are being performed.
OZKKM FORNAX is the result of the most advanced designing on computer and the massive use of FEM analysis in order to reach a very high rigidity level of the bridge and structures. Even though it is a sawing machine, both have technical solutions of a CNC machine. All the movements of the axes are on linear bearings which do not need to be adjusted. All the lubrication points have been gathered in areas which can easily be seen and reached, without disassembling guards or protections for facilitating ordinary maintenance. High level components are employed. The motors used are servo motors with precision reducers. Especially the high speed of the X axis allows to cut down idle times as much as possible with a productivity increase (the percentage of the time that the disc stays on the material is higher with respect to the time forplacing or returning to cut start).
The spindle, anchored in front of the beam to offer the utmost rigidity, can accommodate disks up to a diameter of 900 mm and ½” gas thread tools. It also warrants the choice of placing the cutting disc in axis with the head rotation center to reduce the efforts on the axis to zero for an excellent cutting quality. The inclination of the disc can be arranged automatically from 0° to 90° and the possibility to interpolate the X and Y axes make the machine suitable for repetitive processing and single details even with vertical, inclined, parallel, orthogonal, diagonal and curved cuts. The machines, in the standard version are equipped with a fixed table and can be tilted up to 80 ° by a hydraulic piston to facilitate the loading and unloading of the processed pieces.
