KRONOS is a 5/6 axis interpolated milling/work center machine with automatic tool change. It is available in the version with a Z axis stroke of 600 mm or with a Z axis stroke of 800 mm.
It is one of a kind machine as it combines the typical features of a milling cutter and those of a work center/contouring machine. The Parametrix software and the wooden overbench, allow to perform cutting operations as a traditional milling cutter; the KRONOS range, compared to the traditional working centers, is the sole solution offering specific software for simple and intuitive cutting. Without the overbench, the machine can be set up as a work center to process the piece directly on the aluminum bench or as a contouring machine, fixing the piece to the bench with the suctions cups kit supplied with the machine.
The machine allows to produce items with extremely precise finishing, thanks to the sliding system of X and Y axes on linear guides and racks both in oil bath lubrication. The motion is given by brushless motors coupled to high precision gearboxes. It is equipped with a series of electro-spindles controlled by inverter and it can be fitted with ISO 40 type connection diamond tools, such as end mill, milling wheel and a horizontal blade.

The waxing machine is normally included in a continuous cycle automatic line placed after the material polishing and drying.
The waxing machine M242 is manufactured in the following configurations:
• With 4 or 6 spindles to process slabs up to 2200 mm width;

The waxing machine M242 is composed of a sturdy bridge structure which supports the mobile beam housing the spindles which drive the rotating brushes.
The bridge structure allows to install the machine on a motorized roller bench, already existing or to be separately supplied as well.
All parts have undergone structural checks following the FEM (Finite Element Method) and their precision ensures perfect machine geometry and correct assembly on site.
The machine surface is protected with a three-layer paint cycle applied after the sandblasting operation.
A suitable fiberglass door, which can be opened upwards,allows the machine access for maintenance and, at the same time, it acts as a locking and safety system to prevent accidental opening.
The beam translation movement is driven by two pinion/rack synchronized systems with inverter-controlled speed and is automatically adjusted according to the slabs width.
The spindles, with automatic up and down movement and pneumatic driving, are equipped with interchangeable rotating brushes and mounted onto the mobile beam.
The product distribution on the surface is performed through a pump fixed on the machine structure which, by means of a proper pipe, directly draws from the product container.
The general electric panel is mounted on the rear machine structure and is protected against dust and water in compliance with IP 54 standard (EN 60529).
The main control panel is placed on the front of the machine and includes a touch-screen PLC for the automatism management.
Each single spindle is equipped with an auxiliary control panel with exclusion switch and working pneumatic pression adjustment.

Exclusive polishing heads drive technology that reduces energy and abrasive consumption and eliminates maintenance. The polishing heads are operated through patented ROTOR direct drive spindles assembled in the centre of the mobile beam and equipped with an easy-to-use individual device for the precision centring. The direct drive, that works without transmission belts and grooved shafts, avoids radial stress on the spindle bearings, increases their life significantly whilst saving about 15% of the absorbed energy, eliminates maintenance. EASYEDGE V7S - VERTICAL EDGE POLISHER WITH OSCILLATING MOTION OF THE SPINDLES
Easyedge V7 is specially designed to polish straight, flat edges and to perform the upper and lower chamfers on natural and compound stone panels placed upright. The polishing spindle unit is designed with oscillating motion in order to guarantee the maximum polishing degree, independently of thickness.
At the entry, the machine is equipped with a spindle which performs the profile-shaping of the edges, or the gauging of the piece lower part, or the “drip board cut”. Because of its simple design, the Easyedge V7, which is delivere completely assembled, can be rapidly installed and started, even without the intervention of the Manufaturer’s skilled technicians. It can be floor-anchored and does not require any foundations.
The processing water is collected inside the machine and then conveyed to the point of discharge. The Easyedge V7 can polish materials up to 60 mm thick: the simple manual adjustment of the lateral presser bar according to the thickness of the piece to be worked is sufficient.
The standard machine is supplied fully equipped with:
- 1 spindle to perform the edge profile-shaping, or the thickness gauging, or the “drip board” carving.
- 7 spindles to polish the straight edge.
- 2 spindles to perform the standard chamfers.
- 1 spindle (+1 optional) to carry out deep edge bevelling.
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

A ROBOT FOR ROBOCUP
It is now possible to further improve performance and cycle times for the Forte HD 80 Robocup by equipping it with a workpiece manipulation anthropomorphic robot with vacuum end-of-arm tooling.
The robotized application was created by Breton with Optidrive, a company specialized in Kuka anthropomorphic robot software and integration.
This robotized application allows to automatically position even large workpieces (up to 3.400x1.600m) on the pods, taking them from the feeding roller conveyor in a mere 34 seconds.
When the job is finished, the robot places the machined slab on the unloading roller conveyor, while discharging chips and automatically washing the work table.

Contourfive is a numerical control machining centre with five interpolated axes for machining pieces made from marble, granite, sandstone, limestone, compound stone and stone in general.
Thanks to its vertical travel of 700/1200 mm, Contourfive is the ideal machine for architectural and funerary art as well as for those processing which require a deep dishing out; it therefore offers the users the possibility of performing different and complex machining operations which would otherwise require several machines:
• shaping utilising the saw blade to get large pieces with complex shape.

CONTOURFIVE STANDS OUT FOR ITS STRUCTURAL FEATURES
• High-speed, 16 kW electrospindle featuring a rotation speed of up to 14.500 rpm; it is provided with thermal stability and long-life grease lubrication of the bearings. The tool coolant flows inside the spindle.
• Birotary head for interpolated 5-axis machining. The head has a symmetrical structure and consists of two main structural elements, the first (“C” axis) is fitted for ± 200° rotation around its own vertical axis and the second element (“A” axis) rotating from 0° to +115° and housing the high-frequency spindle. Rotation transmission are provided by brushless-type motors.
• Iron casting spindle-holding carriage running on roller slides (“X” axis) and actuated by a precision pinion-andrack system, which is motorized by a digital brushless motor. The spindle-holding steel ram (“Z” axis) is vertically housed in the carriage; the ram moves through a ball bearing screw/preloaded lead nut/ digital brushless motor system. The position monitoring is performed by the motor encoder.
• Steel work-table secured to the ground, with aluminium top with recesses for mounting fixtures to secure the work piece in place, with vacuum plant and manifold.
• Beam with movement along the shoulders (“Y” axis) on ground guides; is through a pinion-and-rack system and precision reducers with backlash adjustment, driven by digital brushless motor.
• Mobile 27-cell carrousel tool-store for tool-holders, to automatically change tools other than the saw blade.
• Store for saw blade with a max. diameter of 500 mm, secured to the side shoulders (optional accessory).
• Lathe for producing columns and twisted effect details with workable sizes: ø 960 x 3.200 mm (optional accessory).
• Frontal protection barrier consisting of a series of sliding doors with manual opening; doors are made from structure and are provided with wide inspection ports.
• Siemens Sinumerik 840D SL: the latest digitallycontrolled computer numerical control system, with PC architecture and a PC unit utilising Windows as operating system, with Windows user-friendly interface and fully-developed software for work program management.
• Control console mounted on a mobile pendant structure and equipped with a 15-inch touch-screen colour monitor, a joystick to easily move the motorized working axes movement and a USB port for data transfer.
• Portable mini console, wired to the main control console, to duplicate the major controls (axes management + hand-wheel, emergency shut-down, etc.); this portable mini console allows the operator to be close to the piece to be machined thus controlling directly some delicate machining operations.
• Electrics and utilities are housed in two cabinets with IP54 grade of protection and cooled by an air conditioning unit specially designed for a maximum external temperature of +45°C.

This machine allows to calibrate and grind strips of marble. The welded structure of the machine is composed by normalized, ground basement made of electro-welded steel, and by a fixed bridge. The operating heads are installed on it. We guarantee high steadiness, accuracy of working and absence of vibrations. The mechanical and electrical components of the machine guarantee high accuracy and reliability, too, even if used till high stress. The machine is supplied with parts manually lubricated according to the maintenance plans given to the customer. The conveyor belt is nonskid and covered with rubber. All linear axis are executed with big guides. Some timing cases made of inox steel protect them. All the mechanical guides can be adjusted without clearance. All the water supply pipes, the nozzle and the plate casings are dimensioned in such a way that they guarantee the water flow for a good dressing of the cutting tool during the processing phases, a good quality of the cut and a long tool life. The machine has been provided with lifting or fixing grommets. They allow, together with ropes and lifting hooks, to lift the whole structure or the main components. The non-deformability of the parts is guaranteed during the unloading operation. The switch board is made of sheet steel, thickness 15/10 mm, painted with RAL 7032 paint, IP55 protection level.

"When fabricating kitchen and bathroom tops, many prefer to use thinner slabs of material and then glue a frontal piece to it to increase the thickness of the visible edge.
With the VIVa 220 Montresor presents a new completely automatic machine for mitering: a double 45° cut to obtain two polished slab pieces to be glued together at 90°.
The patented V-groove unit consists of 2+2 opposing blades working at 45°. The blades cut the slab leaving 0,2-0,8 mm of uncut material on the polished side of the slab.
The complete operation is controlled by PLC, and the operator has only to set the cutting position which will establish the size of the frontal part to be glued, until a maximum of 220 mm.
The positioning of the discs is completely automatic.
