    Slab conveying carts
    Slab conveying carts are made up of two traverse beams along which two beams equipped with motor- operated slab conveyors move. The width of each beam can be adjusted to process slabs of different sizes.
    The width can be adjusted manually by using a small wheel. The carts move along chrome-plated bars with precision bushes.
    Each cart also features a slab guide and an end stop pneumatically operated in order to process the slab when it is not moving (holes and hole pockets).
    The back/forth motion of the slab conveyors can be selected from the electric panel.
    With forward motion, the slab enters and exits from the opposite end. With backward motion, the processed slab is brought back to its starting point in order to be discharged.
    Drilling units
    By means of a small wheel, four drilling units, two on each side of the machine, can be manually placed longitudinally on two chrome-plated bars of large diameter the whole length of the machine.
    Holes are made when the slab is not moving and held in position by means of two guides and two mechanical stops.
    The drilling units are pneumatically operated by means of a hydraulic brake.
    Feeding has two speeds:
    the first allows for slow penetration of the points into the slab until the points are guided by the hole itself
    the second allows for drilling at optimum speed. Return stroke is always at high speed

    One or more spindles can be excluded from processing by selecting them on the operator’s touch screen.

    The machine features:

    Work cycle
    Processing occurs when the slab is not moving. The two conveyors move the slab to the mechanical stops. Before reaching them, speed is reduced to allow for smooth, precise positioning.
    Then, drilling and pocket cutting are performed, or slots and kerfs are made. Once processing is over, the slab is moved backwards, the two mechanical stops retract, and the conveyors bring the slab to the discharge point.
    A new slab is placed on the conveyors, and cycle is started again.

    Handling
    Spindle handilng along the whole length of the machine and of the two carts is operated along precision guides by means of recirculating ball slide guides.
    Motion is operated by precision rolled screws with recirculating ball bushes and precision gearboxes. The four spindles and the two carts are operated by brushless motors coupled with precision gearboxes and driven by electronic drivers which are in turn CNC-operated.
    Precision in positioning
    Precision in positioning is lower than +/- 0.2 mm.
    Output
    Depending on the material used (marble, tender or hard granite) the typical hole with 6-8 mm diameter and 25-30 mm depth is completed in 20-30 seconds. The distance between two slabs is about 20 cm which entails a motion time of about 20 seconds. Therefore, 4 holes are completed in 40-50 seconds, with an output of 290-360 holes per hour. The average repositioning time is about 5 seconds.
    Lubrication
    Lubrication of moving parts is centralized and automated. An automated lubrication cycle for periods when the machine is not used is also available.
    Positioning system
    It is automated thanks to an industrial computer. The operator must set slab width, hole position with reference to the mechanical stops, make requests for holes with or without pocket, and the automatic system will provide the necessary motions for the drilling heads and the carts.
    Once the machine is positioned, the automated work cycle is started.
    The height of the drilling spindles is adjusted by using a motor-reducer operated by two buttons on the spindle columns.
    4 holes on each side of the slab can be made, along with two pockets on one side, as well as slots, prolonged slots, and kerfs.
    The computer features also the following utilities:
    Generation of drilling programs, storing of the programs by code (brand), list of and changes to the programs (on the machine) sorted by order
    Generation of drilling programs, storing of the programs by code (brand), list of and changes to the programs on PC so that they can be later stored in the machine by using a floppy disc, and sorted by order

    Automatic multi-spindle belt polishing machines for the execution of round and flat edges on any type of material (marble, granite, composite and cement agglomerates). The range of GMM edge polishing machines includes horizontal and vertical machines able to process thicknesses from 4.5 up to 100 mm. The shaping of the profiles is performed with universal abrasive wheels (avoiding the use of expensive shaped wheels).     FEATURES
    MACHINE BED

    BELT
    Three-layer, 30 cm wide belt has a grooved guide on the base to guarantee the maximum adherence of the belt to the line to be worked. Belt gliding surface is ground and covered with a special interchangeable wear-resistant steel plate.
    SPINDLES

    SPINDLE-HOLDER BAR

    The spindles which are governed by separate hydraulic motors have various speeds from 2200 rev/min to 1000 rev/min, starting from the universal diamond tool up to the last polishing grain.
    The computerized system allows programming a micro-oscillation (“swing”) on straight edges or on fl at inclined profiles.
    PROGRAMMING
    With its 8” touch screen it is possible to do all the works necessary in a very simple and quick manner. By setting the profile and the thickness the machine positions all the heads automatically eliminating huge time wasting procedures, previously done manually.
    In less than a minute the machine can be changed from one work to another. It is possible to program each single head to optimize the entry on the piece to be worked or to execute partial work on bull-nose or fl at profiles. It is possible to carry out analysis and statistics regarding the times and quantities produced, as well as processing quotes. Also it is possible to memorize all the parameters used to produce a certain piece and recall this data when necessary.

    KRONOS is a 5/6 axis interpolated milling/work center machine with automatic tool change. It is available in the version with a Z axis stroke of 600 mm or with a Z axis stroke of 800 mm.
    It is one of a kind machine as it combines the typical features of a milling cutter and those of a work center/contouring machine. The Parametrix software and the wooden overbench, allow to perform cutting operations as a traditional milling cutter; the KRONOS range, compared to the traditional working centers, is the sole solution offering specific software for simple and intuitive cutting.     Automatic machine for the waxing operation on marble, granite and similar stones slabs. A robust frame supports the movable beam and the wax distributor. Beam stroke, that adjusts automatically in relationship to slabs width, is driven through two pinion- rack synchronized systems with inverter adjusted speed. The spindles, equipped with rotating brushes are assembled onto movable beam.
    Automatic machine for the application of protecting products on the surface of marble, granite and similar stones slabs and strips.
    The products, such as waxes or protecting liquids, are dosed and directly applied on the material surface, uniformly distributed by means of a series of rotating brushes.
    The waxing machine is normally included in a continuous cycle automatic line placed after the material polishing and drying.
    The waxing machine M242 is manufactured in the following configurations:
    • With 4 or 6 spindles to process slabs up to 2200 mm width;
    • With 3 spindles to process strips up to 650 mm width.
    The waxing machine M242 is composed of a sturdy bridge structure which supports the mobile beam housing the spindles which drive the rotating brushes.
    The bridge structure allows to install the machine on a motorized roller bench, already existing or to be separately supplied as well.
    All parts have undergone structural checks following the FEM (Finite Element Method) and their precision ensures perfect machine geometry and correct assembly on site.
    The machine surface is protected with a three-layer paint cycle applied after the sandblasting operation.
    A suitable fiberglass door, which can be opened upwards,allows the machine access for maintenance and, at the same time, it acts as a locking and safety system to prevent accidental opening.
    The beam translation movement is driven by two pinion/rack synchronized systems with inverter-controlled speed and is automatically adjusted according to the slabs width.
    The spindles, with automatic up and down movement and pneumatic driving, are equipped with interchangeable rotating brushes and mounted onto the mobile beam.
    The product distribution on the surface is performed through a pump fixed on the machine structure which, by means of a proper pipe, directly draws from the product container.
    The general electric panel is mounted on the rear machine structure and is protected against dust and water in compliance with IP 54 standard (EN 60529).
    The main control panel is placed on the front of the machine and includes a touch-screen PLC for the automatism management.
    Each single spindle is equipped with an auxiliary control panel with exclusion switch and working pneumatic pression adjustment.

    The new automatic edge polishing machine BORDI P702 for square edges is made with frontal floating spindles for polishing marble and granite edges. The structure of the machine has a high protection degree against corrosion thanks to a sturdy electrowelded steel frame which is first sand blasted and onto which are applied different layers of painting with a zinc epoxy primer. The conveyor belt slides on steel ground plates 12 mm thick. The protection and covering guards of the BORDI P702 are made of stainless steel. Front and beveling spindles are chromed with inner shaft suitable for the use of abrasives of diameter 130 and 150 mm. The BORDI P702 is equipped with a tank for collecting water with a side drainage.     Machinery Function Features:

    The edge-polishing machine BORDI T804 and BORDI T604 are completely automatic machines that, thanks to their versatility, allow to easily range from the plain step to kitchen countertops. These machines, made of a thick steel study structure, are carefully ground in all the parts, and then assembled after being electro-welded, sandblasted and treated with special painting systems. The belt slides on ground stainless steel plates of 12 mm, and is guided by a double self-greasing belt allowing different types of processing without the use of the guiding bar. The protection guards and the electric board are made of stainless steel. The moving parts of the machine are constantly lubricated by means of an automatic greasing system. The advanced electronics manage each spindle in the different kind of processing, as for example the partial polishing of the edge, the choice of the abrasive diameter and the possibility to polish irregular shapes.

    CAL 160 calibrating-polishing machine has been developed and carried out for calibrating and polishing marble strips or sized tiles and for removing possible defects coming from previous processes, in order to give to the product a homogeneous thickness and visual agreability. This machine is equipped with 1 vertical spindle, which mount 1 x Ø 700 calibrating cup with a removable crown to which the diamond-studded tools are welded, and 2 polishing spindles supporting 2 x Ø 700 plates.
    The height adjustment of the calibrating spindle is made individually, it is electrical and visualized, while the polishing spindles work by compressed air. All the spindles lift automatically when there is no material on the belt. Belt speed is adjustable by means of a speed variator.
