The Costa range of inline machines have been designed to work on all types of marble, granite, stone and agglomerates. These machines are versatile in order for them to work in small, medium or large size establishments in the building, design and monumental. Easy to use, these machines can be made to measure for all types off needs, both in the small and large industry.
FEATURES
BODY
Made in electro-welded structure, machined with cnc machinery. Thermal treatment to unstress materials due to welding. Surface for the belt is rectified and lined with a stainless steel plate, which can be replaced. Sandblasting and special treatment with zinc base and double component paints.
BELT
Three-layer, 30 cm wide belt has a grooved guide on the base to guarantee the maximum adherence of the belt to the line to be worked. Belt gliding surface is ground and covered with a special interchangeable wear-resistant steel plate.
SPINDLES
Same on all units. Cover for safety on all moving parts and a double labyrinth seal for better water and humidity resistance.
BEVELS
They make the double bevel on the straight edge. They are mounted at 45°. The two fi rst (up and down) have the possibility to use diamond tools and to reach a fi x position driven by the computerized system to obtain the perfect required bevel. Their entry and exit on the material is programmable regardless of the work on the straight edge.
CALIBRATORS, DRIP CUT, MULTI-FUNCTIONAL UNITS
Can be placed at the entry and exit of the machine. With various configurations, they allow to work with the axis in vertical position, inclined and horizontal. On these units we can install levigating heads, profiling tools, bush hammering unit, discs for cutting. In order to work properly we have motors with double speed.
BAR WITH MICRO OSCILLATING "BRANDEGGIO"
Allows to polish the edge using universal tools. The spindles all run with separate motors and are placed in a strong aluminium casting bar. A computerized system allows to program the micro-oscillating on the straight edges with large thickness.
TOUCH SCREEN
Electronics of the latest generation which allow simple and intuitive automatic programming the intervention of each units, also partial. Setting out of the thickness of the work piece there's the automatic positioning of: pressing bar and calibrator. The opening of the water and the start up of all electric motors is driven in automatic by the material arrival. This allow an important energy saving. It is possible to carry out analysis and statistics regarding the times and quantities produced, as well as processing quotes. Also it is possible to memorize all the parameters used to produce a certain piece and recall this data when necessary.

PROTECTIONS
The covers are all in heavy duty fiberglass on the front side of the machines and in stainless steel on all single units. All the spindles have pressure gauge and separate pressure regulation.

Exclusive polishing heads drive technology that reduces energy and abrasive consumption and eliminates maintenance. The polishing heads are operated through patented ROTOR direct drive spindles assembled in the centre of the mobile beam and equipped with an easy-to-use individual device for the precision centring. The direct drive, that works without transmission belts and grooved shafts, avoids radial stress on the spindle bearings, increases their life significantly whilst saving about 15% of the absorbed energy, eliminates maintenance. All spindle components have the centre of gravity on the spindle rotation axis and their considerable weight, that includes the motors and is controlled by counter-pressure, stabilizes the polishing heads action. Owing to this, ROTOR spindles ensure optimal operating conditions thus enabling the heads to achieve the best polishing quality with the lowest tools consumption.
Exclusive polishing technology for granite. The polishing action is performed by Pedrini patented heads, that drive the abrasive supports in a sequential way with high frequency pendular motion. The heads mechanism comprises high precision large dimension components that operate in oil bath at very low speed with no components wear in time. This manufacturing technology, that reduces to zero the clearance in the supports pendular motion, realizes abrasives maximum efficiency and eliminates the maintenance. The gauging/levelling machine M644CV makes use of Pedrini patented exclusive technology to remove up to 3.600.000 mm3 per minute of tiles surface layer, causing no tiles break.

At machine entry ,the unit D.G.S. ( Deep Grooving System) removes 85% of tiles surface layer with the use at deferred time of two diamond discs sets ,that dig parallel grooves ,very close each other ,at levelling depth .
The remaining 15% ,represented by very thin ridges ,is removed through a number of Aquila heads ,equipped with diamond satellite tools , that generate a finish degree that can be attached by semi fine grit abrasives in the next polishing phase .

Another optional outfit is the I.T.C.? system that corrects the natural tapering of the cut by compensating the high pressure water jet through the Numerical Control. The I.T.C.? system guarantees the realization of top quality products. When the compensation of the I.T.C.? system is running, the water jet is also directed against the advance direction so as to minimize the so-called “tail effect”, thus reducing the acceleration and deceleration ramps near the corners for a faster and more economical cutting cycle.
The optional KMT Streamline PRO pump with a maximum pressure of 6200 bar can be supplied as an alternative to the KMT Streamline pump of 4.130 bar. With 6200 bar, other conditions being equal, the cutting speed increases remarkably and the cutting cost per linear metre is cut down.
Head with 5 interpolated axes for inclined cutting required, for instance, to obtain the 45° grooves. C axis with 450° rotation and A axis with +/- 69° inclination. This device can be equipped with ITC system for automatic jet tapering compensation and with continuous rotation.

The movement accuracy of each single machine is tested and checked through laser and Renishaw ball bar test.

The profound knowledge of the needs in the process of optimization of the stone cutting has brought to the ideation of a system that is simple to use, with reduced maintenance and high productivity.
With Primus there is the combination of productivity and versatility of the waterjet technology with the reliability and the ease of use Intermac solutions.
In brief Primus makes an art of essentiality. The cut is possible through a supersonic jet, that is obtained concentrating through a suitably calibrated hole, a water flow with the pressure about 413,7 MPa (about 60.000 psi) that produces a coherent jet of water projected at almost three times the speed of sound (810 m/s).
The jet can be added with abrasive, according to the materials to be cut and is directed against the surface of the work-piece and it is able to separate the parts by means of dual action:erosion and abrasion combined.
The enanchement of the water pressure is realized by specific hydraulically- driven volumetric pump, called “ultra high pressure intensifier” that determines the cut potential of the system
