The machine features:

2 mechanical stops to hold the slab in position during processing.
Work cycle
Processing occurs when the slab is not moving. The two conveyors move the slab to the mechanical stops. Before reaching them, speed is reduced to allow for smooth, precise positioning.
Then, drilling and pocket cutting are performed, or slots and kerfs are made. Once processing is over, the slab is moved backwards, the two mechanical stops retract, and the conveyors bring the slab to the discharge point.
A new slab is placed on the conveyors, and cycle is started again.

Handling
Spindle handilng along the whole length of the machine and of the two carts is operated along precision guides by means of recirculating ball slide guides.
Motion is operated by precision rolled screws with recirculating ball bushes and precision gearboxes. The four spindles and the two carts are operated by brushless motors coupled with precision gearboxes and driven by electronic drivers which are in turn CNC-operated.
Precision in positioning
Precision in positioning is lower than +/- 0.2 mm.
Output
Depending on the material used (marble, tender or hard granite) the typical hole with 6-8 mm diameter and 25-30 mm depth is completed in 20-30 seconds. The distance between two slabs is about 20 cm which entails a motion time of about 20 seconds. Therefore, 4 holes are completed in 40-50 seconds, with an output of 290-360 holes per hour. The average repositioning time is about 5 seconds.
Lubrication
Lubrication of moving parts is centralized and automated. An automated lubrication cycle for periods when the machine is not used is also available.
Positioning system
It is automated thanks to an industrial computer. The operator must set slab width, hole position with reference to the mechanical stops, make requests for holes with or without pocket, and the automatic system will provide the necessary motions for the drilling heads and the carts.
Once the machine is positioned, the automated work cycle is started.
The height of the drilling spindles is adjusted by using a motor-reducer operated by two buttons on the spindle columns.
4 holes on each side of the slab can be made, along with two pockets on one side, as well as slots, prolonged slots, and kerfs.
The computer features also the following utilities:
Generation of drilling programs, storing of the programs by code (brand), list of and changes to the programs (on the machine) sorted by order
Generation of drilling programs, storing of the programs by code (brand), list of and changes to the programs on PC so that they can be later stored in the machine by using a floppy disc, and sorted by order
Displaying of drilling programs
Displaying of machine status (diagnostics)
Automatic synchronising

Oleodynamic plungers lock automatically the two mobile uprights to the transversal beams during the vertical cutting phase.
Owing to this peculiar construction technology, M585 reduces to zero the discs traction action on the trolley, eliminates vibrations and realizes high quality cuts combined with very reduced diamond consumption.
The cutting parameters are pre set through the key board. Work cycles are controlled through PLC, positions and parameters are visualized in real time on display.
All motion motors are controlled through vectorial inverters and the movements precision is ensured though position digital transducers(encoder).
The inverter for main motor speed control and adjustment, particularly recommended for the optimal discs utilization, is available as optional.
The large dimension remote electric panels are air-conditioned by means of a heath exchanger and are dust proof and water proof in compliance with I P 54 ( EN 60529) standards.

Multiwire saw with a big multi-groove drum (2.35 mt diameter) on the motor side and twenty big independent tensioning flywheels (2 mt in diameter), each tensioned by the patented Multipull system to manage at best the cutting conditions and optimize the life of the diamond wires. A unique and patented feature of the POLYONE series consists of a special wire winding geometry that allows two cuts in the block for each diamond wire. With the POLYONE 20 version it is therefore possible to obtain 20 cuts in the block with 10 wires to realize 1 cm thicknesses, 14 cuts of 2 cm with 7 wires, and 10 cuts of 3 cm with 5 wires.

M586 is available in several versions according to the vertical disc maximum diameter (from 1300 to 1700 mm), the cutting system and the main motor power. It can be equipped with automatic or semi-automatic unloaders.
Pedrini M586 block cutter is the result of the technological evolution deriving from the manufacturing of more than 2000 models and includes all the necessary characteristics for the production of strips by means of diamond discs.
M586 stands out for its versatility in the cutting of blocks with various dimension and with more or less regular and squared shapes.
The building semplicity, the simple use and the flexibility of every single model of M586 allow for the easy interchange and substitution of diamond discs.
During the cutting phases the diamond discs are cooled ith water by means of distributors designed to ensure their perfect lubrification.
M586 manufacturing technologies allow for the utilization of an up to 220 HP vertical disc motors, making profit of the whole installed power to achieve the maximum cutting speed.
The 4 columns producing the up and down Y axis movement are solidly anchored to the foundations and are stiffened at the top through three connecting beams.
Two reinforcing ribs allow to have the frontal part open to facilitate the usage of the various strips unloading systems and the possible loading of the block directly inside the machine, on the ground level.
The columns house the low friction precision screws, which are synchronized through three shafts that connect the angle transmissions placed on each column. These screws operate into lead nuts mode in antifriction alloy fixed onto the sliders, which travel along the guides that are directly machined onto columns structure.
All lead nuts are equipped with a drop safety system that activates when these are worn.
The bridge movement on Z axis from right to left takes place on two movable beams fixed on the up and down sliders.The translation movement of the bridge is machined on the upper part of the beams by sliding on an anti-wear rollers cage to facilitate the side sliding.
The bridge, built in large thickness normalized steel work with honeycomb structure, houses the transmission for the right-left movement and it is composed of a connection shaft driven through a gear motor/pinion/rack system.
The exclusive double “V” guides which drive the disc holder trolley in a constant and linear way along the cutting and return strokes X axis, are machined onto the upper part of the bridge. A series of oil pits ensure the “V” guides lubrication during the cutting and return stroke movement.

Automatic multi-spindle belt polishing machines for the execution of round and flat edges on any type of material (marble, granite, composite and cement agglomerates). The range of GMM edge polishing machines includes horizontal and vertical machines able to process thicknesses from 4.5 up to 100 mm. The shaping of the profiles is performed with universal abrasive wheels (avoiding the use of expensive shaped wheels). The machine management is entrusted to an electronic control of the latest generation (operating in 4.0 ready logic) supported by a SW entirely developed by GMM to ensure an easy and intuitive use to the operators. The oscillating bar (which supports the hydraulic motors with the abrasives for polishing) of the Toro bull-nosing machine, is driven by 2 brushless motors in order to guarantee high precision and best quality of the profile. All surfaces are treated with sandblasting, cold galvanizing primer and two-component painting. All the carters are in fiberglass or stainless steel.
FEATURES
MACHINE BED
Strong electroweld, fully worked with numeric control machines. Sanding followed by a cold-galvanized treatment and two successive coats of dual component epoxy paint.
BELT
Three-layer, 30 cm wide belt has a grooved guide on the base to guarantee the maximum adherence of the belt to the line to be worked. Belt gliding surface is ground and covered with a special interchangeable wear-resistant steel plate.
SPINDLES
Standard: identical on all work units. Fitted with a bellows for slide protection and having a double labyrinth seal to protect from water, moisture and dust. To further guarantee the seal, there is a slight internal pressure.
SPINDLE-HOLDER BAR
Polishes the edges, using universal tools. The spindles, each one controlled by its own electric motor (protection IP65), are housed in a sturdy sealed bar which empties the water directly into the tank. The computerized system allows programming by inverter a microoscillation (“swing”) above all on straight, thick fl at edges to increase the work speed and improve the degree of polishing. The abrasive discs used are 130 or 150 mm in diameter.
BEVELLERS
Mounted in opposition at 45° angles, they make a double bevel on the straight edge using a 130 mm diameter abrasive disc. The first pair of bevels has a mechanical stop for the use of diamond tools.
TOUCH SCREEN
Allow to manage all the functions of the machine. In particular it is possible to program the entrance and the exit of each unit to ensure quality and precision on all specific working. Are allowed the partial workings (Optional).
ROLLERS
The machine is equipped with two, 1-meter rollers, one at the entrance and one at the exit, respectively. Each roller is equipped with side rails to prevent the piece from tipping.

GENESIS GS141 and GS142 are machines with programmable automatic cycle that were designed for the sawing of 1800 mm max. high blocks, and that are targeted to the production of large thickness slabs for tombstone art, buildings and paving stones in marble, granite and lava stone.
Disc programmed down feed can be performed during the last phase of each cutting stroke. Through such technology the disc reciprocates immediately the cutting sense at the end of each stroke thus creating a “PENDULAR“ motion that eliminates unproductive time.
All the sliding guides are protected with stainless steel fixed labyrinth guards.
The bridge is assembled onto two sliders that slide along the columns with the interposition of anti friction slides. A prismatic guides system, that has been machined onto the columns structure, reacts to stress coming from any direction and guarantee perfectly straight bridge vertical stroke. Sliders movement is driven in a balanced way through four synchronized screw/lead nut systems that guarantee and keep the perfect disc verticality in time.
The lead nuts are equipped with anti drop and wear recovery devices.

TRIMWIRE harmonizes the advantages of a stationary machine with a mobile quarry machine.
Very unique, it is composed of a single wire structure installed on a tracks vehicle equipped with a diesel engine that makes the system independent from any external energy source.
The machine is designed to be easily configured for transport from quarry to quarry on trailer.
Once the machine has been stabilized on the side of the block by 4 hydraulic stabilizers, the cutting arch is brought to the desired height and opened to align the wire to the face of the block to be cut.
The cut is performed vertically thanks to the movement of the arch structure along the column.
The wire is driven by a motor flywheel 1000 mm diameter and guided by 600 mm diameter wheels.
