- 4 steel structural work columns, connected by sturdy crosspieces at the top
- Bridge support guides with interchangeable sliding surface protected against seepage and dust by "gooseneck" labyrinths.

Vertical movement of the bridge-guides is controlled by a brushless motor to guarantee regular and precise movements.
Bridge is in thick steel structural work, double crosspiece, counterdeflection machined to guarantee perfectly flat cuts; the bridge movement takes place on sliding blocks in oil bath and is controlled by precision gearings for perfect positioning.
During the cutting stage, the bridge is firmly locked by oleodynamic brakes. Transversal movement of the bridge is controlled by a brushless motor to guarantee regular and precise movements.
Spindle Carriage closed box structure extremely rigid to avoid vibrations during the cutting operation.
- Version "1300" uses disks with a maximum diameter of 1300 to obtain strips with height upto 45.8 cm (1.5 feet); it is possible to fit up to 32 disks to obtain 12 mm thickness.
- Version "1600" allows to obtain strips with height up to 61 cm using "step cutting" system with disks diameter 1000 and 1600. It is possible to fit up to maximum 14+14 disks to obtain 12 mm thick strips.
Motorized block bench controlled by low voltage motor, to comply with accident prevention rules.
Control Panel easy to read, allows fast entry of all the processing parameters. The operation cycle, fully automatic, is controlled by a PLC logic.
The machine, equipped with an automatic unloader with suction cups, allows to have a fully automatic working cycle, from strip cutting to stocking on pallets.
The intervention of the operator is required only for data entry and prearrangement of the machine in the various operation stages.
The PLC programme is continuously updated to follow the evolution of the tools and operation techniques. It also has some special functions, such as:
- Function TS (Time Saving): The work feed is given during the final portion of the cutting stroke eliminating dead times at reversals.
- Function SA (Speed Adjustment): The feed speed of the spindle has inlet and outlet ramps with adjustable acceleration and duration so that the "entry" and exit from the material can be smooth.
- Function DS (Dual Speed): Allows automatic carriage speed passage from the initial low value, which avoid disks deviation, to the normal operation one, as soon as the depth value preset by the operator is reached.
- Function SLS (Software Limit Switches): The limit switches of the spindle carriage are presettable via software, directly from the panel. This keeps the operator from carrying out difficult and at times dangerous manoeuvres on the machine.

The single wire machine is perfectly suitable for squaring blocks or cut very big thickness slabs, installing one diamond wire.
The machine is supplied with a fixed trolley for the blocks, in order to cut big thickness slabs; otherwise the machine is supplied with a rotating bench trolley, in order to square the marble blocks.
The structural construction of the diamond wire frame saw is made in two uprights columns, connected together with a cross steel structure. The MONOFIL BM 2300 machine installs two flywheels of Diameter 2300 mm.

Flywheel:

a hydraulic cylinder managed by a control unit which, if the wire breaks, automatically stops the machine.

This machine distinguished essentially by many innovative design and technological solutions realized through high level experience and knowledge of the problems met in the use of granite gang saws and well known by the Designer and Mordenti, has solved the sawing requirements allowing very high hourly feeds (almost triple) on class 4 granites using normal blades and metallic grit. It is thus a realization which represents a cooperation between the experience of the technicians of this field and Mordenti, a Company distinguished by the high construction reliability, which has allowed to increase considerably the hourly output of the granite gang saws, to assure machine functionality in the long run, equip it with automatic lubrication, operation and control systems together with suitable structures of the various components which guarantee limited investement and maintenance costs in relation to the production achievable.
The important innovation and technological heart of the machine is the interesting patented mechanical application which allows the blade frame to be lifted and fed several times with the normal abrasive mixture during its wide rectilinear cutting phase and give contemporaneusly a percussion action in the descent phase.
The combination of the lifting stroke and force action is adjustable in intensity and frequency depending on the material that is being sawn and the hourly feeds required. Furthermore, at the ends of the stroke, the blade frame rises much more than the other present gangsaws and this increases the feed of the abrasive mixture, all flexible and integrated to the results one wants to achieve.
The combination and use of these three factors has brought a considerable advantage to granite sawing without being particularly burdensome but as a matter of fact allowing to increase remarkably the hourly feed and the sawing time of the block by bringing a considerable technological development to this field in connection with the modern production systems and absolute cutting precision also for 11 mm. thick slabs.
The movement of the blade frame is clearly different from those presently on the market as with the patented system the stroke of rectilinear movement is adjustable and there is wide lifting in the reversal points. This allows greater contact between blades and block and a considerable supply of the abrasive mixture due to adjustable amplitude of the rectilinear stroke and rise of the blade frame.
The patented device which eliminates the oscillating arms, silentblock and other infrastructures relative to the traditional gang saws is made up of a sector with variable radius of curvature with counter part on tempered flat guide with relative gears for the phasing of the blade frame movement. All is held in proper boxes in oil bath arranged at the ends of the frame members together with other particulars that with very rational and simple solution assure rectilinear movements of the blades and high removing capacity in time. This solution also allows to have shorter columns considering blocks of the same height. The main features that highlight the gang saw Turbomord are:
1) High reliability and design with relevant technological innovations, respecting however the traditional concept of granite sawing.
2) Automatic closed circuit oil lubrication system.
3) Control board with logic P.L.C. program.
